"Young at Heart" - The New One! Nov 06, 2009 Frank Sinatra once starred in a movie called "Young at Heart". This heartwarming movie with the same title is one of the best documentaries I have seen: homourous, sad, ultimately illiminating. A choral group of oldsters (72 and up) learn new tricks.Rock 'n Roll! One of their warmups for the big sold-out concert is filmed at a prison, where the hearts of inmates open to them and their music. So will yours.
Young at Heart DVD Oct 02, 2009 I was disappointed in the story. I had read the review of the title and it was a disappointment after viewing it.
Young at Heart Sep 17, 2009 I purchased seven copies of the DVD Young at Heart to be given to senior citizens. They were thrilled with the film and found it to be inspirational and heartwarming. In addition, these were used DVD's which were in perfect condition.
Young@Heart DVD Rocks! Sep 08, 2009 This is a wonderful documentary/story presenting the enthusiasm and kindridship of 'seniors' doing what they love and showing how it keeps them motivated to go on everyday. I purchased this to show to my Neighbour Aid aged social group because someone had recommended it. I always watch stories before showing the group to ensure appropriateness and in this case I was glad I did.
Whilst it is a wonderful story and so touching to the sole to watch, it has some very sad moments making it what I considered possibly too 'sad' for my chosen audience as it leaves you feeling emotional (which also makes a good movie I believe). The sad moments are just a little too close to home for my ageing clients I feel without warning them in advance and giving them the choice to watch it.
Whilst it is uplifting in its' theme, the story is real and somewhat emotional.
Still I recommend viewing! They are a remarkable group of people, including the tireless patience of the chorus leader.
Enjoy,

A gem of a movie! Aug 17, 2009 If you have any semblance of a heart, you will love Young At Heart, a compassionate, warm, funny, heartbreaking documentary about seniors who really rock.
