Almost perfect... Sep 25, 2008 After being converted to this band through their self-titled album, I decided to check out their new CD. All the instrumentals are once again, masterpieces! But the songs "I Don't Care" and "I'm Not Jesus" really didn't catch me, and aren't my thing. I just don't think they have measured up to the other songs they've had guest vocalists with. I haven't bought "Helden" yet, but I do like the interesting voice of Till from Rammstein; I had no idea it was a David Bowie cover!
However, I did like "S.O.S. (Anything But Love)" because I LOVE Lacuna Coil! Scabbia's voice is perfect the mood of this song, and I'm excited she did it with them; I hope I see her in their show soon! One thing that bugged me on iTunes is that the two extra tracks "Ural" and "Dreamer" are album only!!! I listened to them on YouTube, and they are the best on the album, ones you can't miss! Apocalyptica are one of the best bands out there, but this was slightly almost perfect...
Another Great Album for these masters of Cello Dec 03, 2007 Apocalyptica have delived another metal masterpiece with the Album Worlds Collide. There are several versions available including the 11 track standard, extra track japan with bonus track Lies and DVD with I'm not jesus, making of I'm not jesus, interview, and photo gallery. There is also the european deluxe edition with 2 bonus tracks of Ural and Dreamer, and the DVD is that same as the Japanese tracks. There is also just the CD version with the extra track of "lies" but no DVD. Any version you get will be excellent. I got the European version, and am very pleased.
From start to finish, this album has the tempo changes and the intensity that we have come to expect from the original compositions by this band, and also has the feature of a cover tune of the german version Heros by David Bowie sang by Rammmstein's lead singer. Also featured are tracks with Three days grace lead singer, Corey Taylor of Stonesour/Slipknot, and Christina Scabia of Lacuna Coil. These vocal tracks are all decent, but I'm still more interested in the music behind them. However, again, apocalyptica makes it work well. Plus, since the addition of drumming from the album reflections forward, Dave Lombardo of Slayer continues to guest on a few of the tracks. A nice booming addition to this already blistering line up. Tracks to play loud are "I'm not Jesus", "I Don't Care", and "Worlds Collide". Again, very good album for first timers to get, and a must for fans.

Deluxe Edition Worth Extra! Nov 13, 2007 There is a major shortage of Apocalyptica merchandise in the United States. If you are a rabid fan like me,you should invest in the deluxe edition. The Worlds Collide CD is more aggressive yet stays true to the Apocalyptica sound of the classic cello.I loved the bonus behind the scenes footage of the single "I'm not Jesus" and the brand new video for that track.Other bonus features include interviews amd a cool photo gallery.
