The CD is great but a DVD would be awesome! Nov 17, 2009 I saw the Austin City Limits show with Willie and The Wheel on PBS....

....which ACL sez they have "no immediate plans to sell on DVD."
If y'all agree with me that such a DVD would be a hot seller AND a great serving of Texas swing, write to ACL and tell them you want the DVD yesterday!
willie and the wheel is a good listen Oct 26, 2009 Willie and the wheel is a good listen..Asleep At The Wheel is a natural backup for the vocal phrasing and guitar licks that Willie is known for..There is a seamless quality to the pedal steel and Willies vocal work..Early on in the listen it becomes obivious that Willie can work with this group as if he had been with them from the beginning. It made me smile.
Go Willie! Sep 11, 2009 This is one of the most fun CD's I have listened to in a long time - I was not at all familiar with most of the songs but putting Willie Nelson together with the Asleep at the Wheel group was genius. It makes you smile and want to stop and dance.
Classic Collaboration Sep 08, 2009 Willie fits in with whom ever he performs with. Fans of Western Swing will enjoy this get together.

Sleepwalkin The Album Over You.... Sep 06, 2009 I'm a big fan of Willie, even more so for The Wheel, but this album just left me cold. Willie seems to be sleepwalking over his vocals, almost to the point where he seems bored! I KNOW the man's pushing 80, but his vocals, although still strong, seemed somewhat forced. Asleep At The Wheel, just seem along for the ride, functioning mainly as Willie's backup band! Their instrumentals are tight, and superb as ever, but can't we just have maybe 1 or 2 songs with The Wheel cooking on it's own? ....without Willie?? Where's the band jammin' on it's own?? How about a number with Ray Benson's superb vocal...without Willie?? Maybe a 2 CD set would've made this the event what it was meant to be- Willie by himself, the Wheel by themselves, a cookin instrumental or two, and THEN, together, Willie & The Wheel! Good album, certainly NOT a disappointment, but it left me shaking my head! Could've been a better album, by far!!
