this book really held my interest actually I've read and reread it 3 times. It contains explanations and words of wisdom people can understand and use in everyday life

 Like St Crispin's speech, but with no point Nov 14, 2009
I got a 2nd-hand copy from a used bookstore, and I'll be returning it when I get a chance. The book has a decent flow and is easy to digest, but the problem is that there's rather very little to digest at all. Most of the book feels like a coach giving a speech to his players before a game: There are a lot of battle cries, but not much else. There are some wonderful segments that make you think of the social differences between men and women, but that's only because the author flirted with the topic. He never reached the core of anything, focusing instead on poetic imagery and a few personal examples. The most frustrating aspect is that, when he did get close to forming a solid point, he would instead throw out an often-suspect opinion and claim it as fact. On at least two occasions, I couldn't help but feel that he backed up an opinion with an out-of-contest verse from the bible.
The book fell far short of my expectations. And quite frankly, I feel that the author did no research at all before writing. This book is simply his opinion piece, and it has little merit beyond that. Oddly enough, even though this book was written for men, there are a few sections that would be more useful for wives to read in order to better understand their husbands. Aside from that, I cannot recommend this book.

This book is so amazing. Its a must read for every man. I even recommend the womans book called Captivating. Excellent. Excellent.
