Pretty good but no blockbuster Nov 05, 2009 John Gray makes some important points, but goes very slowly thru them, gives too many examples, and makes many comments that are either obvious or
doubtable. And if he wants to read his own books on tape, he should get a voice coach to help him lose this tinny thin voice and help him find his own
true deeper voice that comes from his belly instead of his tight throat.
A seemingly colliding book Oct 11, 2009 I have listened to other programs from john Grey and they have been relatively good. I listened to the audio book of this program. First of all, he keeps introducing what he wants to talk about rather than talking about it. Then when he actually starts talking about it, he keeps repeating it through different sentence structures. I was flabbergasted how such a good, well-known author could do that! Second, there is no passion or any sort of enthusiasm in his voice reading the book. He just reads it! After listening to hundreds of audio books from various authors it was odd and disappointing . All in all, it seems like he was supposed to come up with a new book, and it had to be stretched to certain length. Couldn't go past the first CD after listening to it twice! Exasperating experience!
Helpful book, but dented Oct 07, 2009 I really liked the content of the book as it had some helpful ideas. The price of it was reduced, but I was disappointed that it said it would be new, which it was, but it had a huge gash on the front that almost but not quite tore (just dented) the pages part way into the beginnings of the book. I didn't complain as I figured that was why it was so discounted....But it was not mentioned before purchasing the book.

Recommended to read for everybody Aug 14, 2009 This book gives very good insightful information about how men and women think differently and how we deal with stress. How we should help each other deal with stress in our life, in order to have a good relationship.

save your time, money and marriage- see a therapist instead Jun 15, 2009 This is my first critical review and I can barely get past a page without grumbling about something the author has said. Having read a couple of his previous books I thought this one would be equally worth the read but this one is testing my patience. If you are serious about your relationship I heartily recommend "couples therapy" by a reputable therapist who has impacted a marriage where you have witnessed a significant improvement.
