I love Martina McBride so I'm a little biased!!but I absolutely love this album.
We've all heard these songs loads of times but it is Martina's voice that makes this an outstanding album.She sounds incredible,with a real classic production of the songs such as an orchestra and choir background vocals.
I also love that she picked mostly hymns instead of the more commercial xmas songs.Such as the beautiful O Holy Night,What Child Is This,Do You Hear What I Hear and O Come All Ye Faithful-where she uses her famous powerhouse vocals!She also does a fantastic job on the classic Xmas songs,like Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas ,The Christmas Song and she does a really catchy version of Jingle Bells.
This is a xmas album that you will easily enjoy for many years to come....

I like Chrismas songs and I collect recordings of these songs.
McBride really succeeded to bring the hiliday's spirit and gave the songs an interesting southern flavor.
The orchestration is rich and fabulous.
Highly recommended!!!

This is the most wonderful Christmas cd. Martina McBride has a beautiful voice and even more beautiful personality. She is a great role model and a talented singer. I enjoyed every song on this cd. They were all sung beautifully and felt very "Christmasee" with the Christmas spirit!I have seen Martina McBride in concert and she is SO amazing! You should definately buy this cd because it is the best Christmas cd out there for female artists. Even if you do not like country, I can almost promise you, that you will certaintly like this cd.

Like smooth velvet, Martina's voice is a crown jewel. Only Martina could make a "traditional" christmas albums songs sound new again. The songs are the old tired christmas favorites, but her voice brings them to life.
Big surprise on this album was her duet with Bing Crosby on "Baby it's cold outside". So sultry and so suggestive. I could go on and on.
