Stay in your lane Sep 14, 2008 This album was very poor. Even after putting it down a few times and listening to it later, it was still poor. Calvin had established himself as a very good artist but this album doesn't do him justice. Firstly, the songs are bad. Secondly, he's trying to do some things that he simply doesn't do well. He needs to stay within himself and stop trying to sound like someone that he's not. He's not Commissioned, Jodeci, R. Kelly, or Maxwell. Calvin, do what you do and stop there.

Soulful Sound Jul 22, 2008 I really enjoyed the soulful sound of Calvin Richardson, he has not received his due. He is right up there with the best. This CD is long overdue.

Absolute Masterpiece... Jun 04, 2008 This is the ultimate true Calvin album. Country boy and 2:35PM were 2 of my favorite r'n'b/nusoul albums of all, but this one is 1 or 2 steps above them. Calvin produces all the tracks, that's why the album is on a little independant label, that allows Calvin to really make his own sounds, and make us feel his real vibe.. The more you listen to it the more you can feel it. This is true soul!! If you're a soul lover you gotta feel it.

Calvin Richardson - When Love Comes May 30, 2008 I have to say this was a huge disappointment. I loved Calvin's 2:35 album. It was a classic. And Country Boy was good to. But this album was definetly a miss for him. I dont know if its the five year hiatus or the new indie label that changed for him, but one of the two definetly damaged his stability in my book. This is just a really boring album. Calvin has a great Gritty soul voice that should alone get him a big name record deal. But with albums like this, he will never truly establish himself as true force. I mean with his first two album, they were mostly ballad heavy. But they also had some more flavor than this album. This is just a very very bland album. It never picks up. I mean there are some good songs. The slow burning baby maker "Fire In The Attic" is definetly one of Calvins most sexually chanrged tracks. And then the soothing accoustic track "Don't Go" and the bouncy single "Dont Wanna Sang No More" are both good tracks. But other than that, the rest is filler matireal at best. Songs like "Give It To Me" should never be made again when Calvins name is involved. He cant do uptempo dance tracks...NEVER. And then the just really boring "Holla At You" and "Sexy Love" had potential, but never picked up. Like i said earlier, i like Calvin Richardson, but he really should have rethought this album because its not good. Sorry Calvin, Maybe Next time!
