Refreshing Nov 09, 2009 This book is a well reasoned anlysis of the arguments that Athiests posit against Christianity. I like that the author takes the hard road and actually takes the argument to athiests in a very logical and reasoned out manner. Every Christian should read this book to see that the faith they hold is not so outrageous. Every non-Christian should read it to really think about the arguments and consider what these hard questions mean.

Nearly fact-free ... Nov 06, 2009 Just recently skimmed the book, and I really can't understand where all the enthusiasm comes from. Just to take one example, D'Souza explains in two pages that the Crusades were simply Europeans' way of defending the territory they had conquered in the Middle East. He makes no reference to the massacre of Jews, the ill-fated Children's Crusade, the widespread murders in Southern France of the Albigensian Crusade ("Kill them all: God will know his own"), etc. He's similarly blithe about the Inquisition.
If this is the apogee of conservative reasoning, it's hard to understand why anyone with any knowledge would take this author seriously. Explain to me again what's so great about Dinesh D'Souza?

Great read, great writer, different perspective Nov 05, 2009 I really enjoyed this book because it gave me a change to look at Christianity through the eyes of someone from outside the typical British and/or American cultural look. It was very eye-opening and I came away with a greater understanding and love for Christianity than I went into it with.
Mr. D'Sousa really knows how to walk the reader through concepts without overwhelming you with data, but at the same time giving you the whole story.
Great book.

A must read for all Nov 01, 2009 This book outlines the various athetistic arguments and sets objective and logical explanations as to the weaknesses of the athesitic theories.

D'Souza answers the modern atheists Oct 13, 2009 In this wonderful book D'Souza convincingly refutes modern atheists who assert that Darwinism in particular and science in general have made the concept of God irrelevant. As a fan of Thomas Aquinas, I especially like D'Souza's approach, using intellect and reason to make his point rather than relying on divine revelation, which the atheists dismiss as fairy tales.
As a companion to the D'Souza book, I recommend Thomas Woods' How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization. Woods presents a view of history that challenges the atheist attack on religion, particularly the Christian faith, which they say has been a hugely negative force in human society.
