 What In The World Is Going On? Nov 13, 2009
A very interesting and eye opening account of prophecy and more importantly, how many of them have already been fulfilled. If this topic interest you, I highly recommend this book.
Another great book from a great author Nov 06, 2009
I have read several books by David Jeremiah and am impressed by the way he presents theology in a way that can be easily understood. This book addresses the "end times" and "second coming" from a straightforward, Biblical standpoint without the hype or alarm of so many other books on the same subject. The book is engrossing, and I was at the end of it before I knew it. I also just enjoyed reading the sequel, Living with Confidence in a Chaotic World, and would recommend it as a follow-up book.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't care too much for this book. However, this book deserves quite a favorable review. The things I didn't like about it will probably be what everyone else likes best. I just happened to be very familiar with the content and desirous of a more in depth study.
This is very much a book for someone who has no previous understanding or study of bible prophecy or the importance of Israel. It is written in clear language and is very easy to understand, perfect for a beginner on the subject. Dr. David Jeremiah makes Bible prophecy interesting, relatable to current events and accessible to everyone. It focuses on what the writer believes are the 10 most essential bible prophecies. I like that he takes a different approach than most of the other purveyors of Biblically-based, end times publication. His new perspective is refreshing and simple, yet concise. It provides a thorough view of what the end times will look like.
If you have any curiosity about what is going on in the world today, but you have no idea where to start, Dr. David Jeremiah's "What In The World Is Going On" is for you. You won't regret picking up a copy.

 Absolute junk with no biblical understanding Oct 30, 2009
Sensationalism to sell a book. He consistently misinterprets scripture and twists true Biblical meaning in order to create hype and hysteria about something he knows nothing about. It sells books and puts money in his pocket. The title should say 10 Prophetic clues David Jeremiah can't afford for you to ignore. What little scripture he refers to he got it wrong. ALL of it.
Example: he says the "oil" David refers to is crude oil. David is obviously referring to Olive Oil. David had no use nor knowledge of crude oil.
Several things I've know about people who have tried to prophecy/interpret prophecy in the last 40 years. No one has got it right. Understand your 20th century church history and you'll see what I mean. I remember people thought Ronald Wilson Regan was the anti Christ because he had 6 letters in each of his name giving him the mark of the beast. Jeremiah is just as wrong as they were.
Jeremiah also makes huge sweeping statements about issues he knows nothing about. The assumption that all Muslims believe in the same thing is like saying all Christians believe in the same thing. There are liberal and conservative. There are some who think Lutheran is the only way and that all else are going to hell. Mormons consider themselves christian. Islam is as diverse as the Christian faith, and yes there are some who wish to do us harm, but there are more who don't. Just like not all Christians kill abortion doctors. Jeremiah lumps them all into radical Islamic terrorists.
Here's a healthy way at looking at prophecy. What God is going to do He's going to do. Worrying about it isn't going to change it. We just need to live meaningful lives to change ourselves and the world around us until he comes back.
Sensationalism sells and that's what he's counting on and taking all your money to the bank and laughing all the way.
Eye Opening Book Book With That Great Amazon Price and Delivery Oct 26, 2009
This is an excellent book by an author that backs up his facts with Biblical Scripture. This comes with the usual Amazon service and great price.
