For TRUE SLIPKNOT FANS!!! Feb 24, 2010 Back in 1999, the band Slipknot submerged into the mainstream scene with their single "Wait and Bleed". At the time, the band met producer Ross Robinson, played Ozzfest 1999, and since they did not have NO PROMOTION from MTV and most radio stations, they had no choice but to try to get out to their maggots, WITHOUT ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
Here is some info from WIKIPEDIA: "The publisher, Roadrunner Records, promotes the video as "a study in the roots of Slipknot" as a response to fans wanting to see what made the band "tick". In the video, band members themselves explain in the video that "[Welcome to Our Neighborhood] basically [it's] nine people working out every poison that ever affected them in their life and putting it on tape."
This COLLECTOR'S ITEM, Slipknot's FIRST OFFICAL HOME VIDEO, you hold and most of the buyers complained about, is something they may not have known. Read the information of how this product even went PLATINUM, THREE months after its release (for a NEW band, that is VERY good, having NO other promotion) because well deserved fans back than of the band (including me), had and have more appreciate than todays music fans and wanted something to just enjoy for the meantime, while they built their success, what do you expect? Also, what most do not realize, is that the compilation footage of "Scissors" is not available on the VHS version, and I had purchased the video when it FIRST came out, so it was an EXTREME BLESSING being able to see MORE "early live footage" from my favorite band on this DVD. This DVD Reissue is truly for REAL SLIPKNOT fans that have been with them over the years of their career, 10 years and STILL COUNTING...This DVD was built around its QUALITY, not QUANTITY. Buy the other DVD's and the Slipknot 10th Anniversary Edition.. STAY SIC!!!

THe Slip Mar 16, 2007 Super mind blowing visuals great dvd to get to know the band, cheaper than voliminal (which is also insane) but worth it!
so so Jul 30, 2006 I was wondering wether to give this a 2 star or a 3 but i considered that if it is slipknot it is at least a three star and if they have a 2 or 1 star it has to really suck. but when i got the dvd i thought cool a slipknot dvd. the minute i got it i watched it but i noticed some disturbing things such as some blurry scenes so some of the time you dont know what the heck is going on, the interview is short, the camera moves around alot during the live performances, and the worst thing is it's no more than 25 minutes long. I know i'm just a kid but i am a big fan of slipknot i'm even atempting to get one of the very few m.f.k.r. albums that i had to get from the U.K.! Anyway the dvd has some good parts like the spit it out home video and the surfacing live song was awesome audio wise but most of time the camera just cant stay still for more than 3 seconds! in my opinion this dvd wasn't good but it wasn't bad ethier.
My friend was very pleased! Jul 03, 2006 I ordered the item for a friend and his son who is a big fan of Slipknot. He now tells me his son is ecstatic about the DVD and I believe it was the right gift for a young fan of the band. No idea how it compares to their other DVDs and if this is the best buy, but it was worth it. Recommended!
