Description:

This production by the World Wrestling Federation opens with snazzy computer graphics of chairs and tables, specifically the type preferred as weapons by particularly unruly members of the professional wrestling fraternity. But a very serious-sounding narrator explains that this is not a documentary about furniture, but a look at three particular tag teams: The Hardy Boyz, the Dudleyz, and Edge & Christian. In interview segments, the wrestlers essentially step out of their ring character and talk about growing up, their ambitions to become wrestlers, and their love of "sports entertainment." Once it's sort of established that these guys are all human beings, the fun begins, and ladders, chairs, and tables are gleefully deployed as weapons in the ring. The real stars of the show are the table-smashing degenerates always referred to as "those damned Dudleyz." Capping a frenetic montage of "Bubbuh Ray" Dudley putting a variety of opponents (and even a female emergency medical technician) through folding tables is a masterpiece of Dudley sportsmanship: helpless and elderly female wrestler Mae Young is dragged from her wheelchair and treated to a vicious "flying table drop." Warnings abound that the participants are professionals, and no one should even think about trying any of this craziness at home. --Robert J. McNamara

4these table ladder and chair matches keep on getting better and better oh my   May 03, 2007
Table Ladder and Chair Oh My God first ever single man tlc match

Edge vs John Cena

Since Edge and Ric Flair set a high standard for the first ever single men tlc match i was expecting john cena to do the same thing it was all up to him and luckily he did not disappoint in fact i think this match slightly surpassed edge's early tlc match against flair through several brutal and creative of the bumps i can remember is when cena gave edge a fu from off a fifteen ladder into a table whenever a gimmick is involve these two will always deliver the goods there should be more gimmick matches on a regular basis maybe the wwe should bring back the hardcore match 24/7 rules once which gurantee average 3 star matches on a more normal occassion back to this match although it might have been spotty that is what i expect from tlc and ladder matches this match exploded their january 2006 match on raw to shame i rate that match at ***1/2 this match is ***3/4 to **** stars so i guess this makes the tenth tlc i cannot wait for tlc 7, 8, 9 and most importantly ten what a celebration that will be the perfect date for tlc ten should take place at summerslam 2010 which should include the wrestlers who made that gimmick what it is today

Money in the Bank at Wm 23
what a great spotfeast ladder match this was i wish shelton benjamin was there to upgrade his athleleticism as well as charile haas as of late the wwe has not done nothing with him or charile hass these two guys are supposed to be the tomorrow of the wwe if the writer don't come up with something quick these two will either quit and go to tna or go to njpw and probably have deserving match against kurt angle since i heard he has wrestled a few shows in japan returning to this match i had doubts that this match would not surpass last year and i was wrong this match was better than last year but not as good as two years ago my favorite spot of the match is when jeff hardy did the leg drop off a twenty feet ladder from the ring to the outside on edge who was sleeping on the table the other spot i will protect in my memory is when mr. kennedy did the samon front flip to the midget off the fifteen ladder i also love rko off the ladder and the booker end matt hardy, fit finaley, and cm punk also did some solid bumping as well

4a new tlc entry tlc 5 one of da greater matches   Jul 01, 2006
this match took place on raw between edge and ric flair early january of 2006 this match was unique because it was a one on one tlc match for the wwe title props for ric flair 4 having the gutts to fight in this type of match due to how old he is i would not have thought less of him if he did not go into this match edge have been impress the guy can work with the best of them kurt angle hbk mick foley and he did it with ric flair he showed no mercy to flair in this match punishing flair like he was a kid or edge's age my favorite spot of the match is when edge did a body splash from the top of ladder to the outside with flair laying helplessly on the top another suprisingly spot was when edge superplex flair off the top of the ladder i thought flair body was broken in pieces i wasn't going to say jr famous line which is his or her body has to be broken in half what also added to the match was that flair's daughter was infront row cheering her father on to win the match i almost thought he had a chance to win but knew edge would come out on top this match reminds me alot of edge vs matt hardy match from last year except it was a ladder match only however they used a table and a chair so i guess u can call it a pre tlc match in tlc 5 lita was not as annoyning as usual even though she interfered a few times i guess i am getting use to her helping edge out during match that is what manager suppose to do sometimes it is acceptable but most times is not tolerable nevertheless i tolerated with lita getting herself involved into the matchup because the match was already good before she came in it i would like to thank edge and ric flair for working so well and hard together this was very close to a moty contender because it had almost everything it needed to be a great and memorable match up tlc match rating is ***3/4-**** on the same page as tlc 4 if not just a inch better but not by much

1Not What You Think!!!  Mar 10, 2006
I bought this dvd with the expectation of seeing the matches listed in the other reviews. But this is a 60 minute dvd featuring a brief history of the Dudleyz, Hardyz and E&C. It makes a nice WWE Confidential episode, but not a TLC DVD. There wasn't a single full match on this dvd! I feel robbed and will try to return this dvd.
