PURRRRRR FECT! Jul 04, 2007 By 1983 Parliament-Funkadelic had worn it self thin to the masses. Even though a year before this CD was released, George was back on track with his "computer games" album. The names Parliament-Funkadelic were tied up for the moment. How ever, the remnants of Parliament-Funkadelic & Bootsy's Rubber Band called themselves "P-Funk All Stars". THis is a great album. the highlight of this is "Pumpin It Up". This is mos def one of the finer works by George & Crew. Punchy horns, choppy keyboards, slick pocket drums, snazzy vocals, penetratin guitar leads....all of it. I love this CD. It will make u dance fo sho......Imitatin, duplicatin' always wanna copy my MEOW!!!!! Seems sorta prophetic with the lyrics in the song Copy Cat. Thier music was sampled almost as much as James Brown.

pump it up some more Mar 15, 2001 the bomb george and the crew came back to give prince, and rick james some mo funkin lessons, should have blown up but forces beyond control had the world sleep on the funk, pumpin it up is the stand out cut a booming bassline and eddie hazel back maggotizing the jam, one of those summers is a summer jam starring junie, catch a keeper is a joint starring the brides, hydrolic pump was the other stand out cut with george, and sly stone singing, this should have been big but it was'nt. the other cuts are lame to me but still if you wanna know how george and the parliament funkadelic funked in the 80's get this-then pick up computer games, and you should'nt nuf bit fish.

Funky Disco Dec 13, 2000 This is not the pure unadulterated kind of funk you might be expecting having only heard Parliament/Funkadelic's earlier work, or only having seen the P.Funk All-Stars live. Rather, it is more of a funky strain of disco, slightly cheesy at times (was that a drum machine I just heard?) But as we all know George Clinton and his crew have more funk in their little toes then most funk bands could ever hope to have. U.D.G. is a good addition to any collection, especially if like G.C.'s Greatest Funkin' Hits. If you want "da bomb", invest in the live 4 CD set: Parliament-Funkadelic Live 1976-1993, and be blown away...
Bumping May 18, 2000 this CD Is Slamming. The Grooves are Tight thru out.Very Underrated &Worthy of A Listen.Funky&Bouncin'.
