Exaggeration, Overstatement, Sensationalism cover a kernel of truth Oct 06, 2009 This book is a shame, because something like this could have been a real service to the public if written by someone with a more sober presentation who got his facts straight.
Behind Trudeau's extensive exaggeration, overstatement, and downright misleading information lies some important information that could be really helpful. I'm sure there is truth behind many of his statements, both in terms of the unhealthy aspects of prescription and nonprescription drugs and in terms of healthy and natural lifestyle choices and preventing illnesses. However, one has no way of knowing what is true and what is not given his outlandish presentation. Then, of course, you are directed to his website to get the actual "cures." They are not in the book.
If you look at: "John Stossel Exposes Liar Kevin Trudeau" (type that in YouTube), you'll know Trudeau has been a con man for a long time and he's out to make money, not to be a consumer advocate.
I just finished listening to the audio CD version of the book, which my wife got for me out of the library. She didn't know anything about this book when she got it, and neither did I. The bright side to this is that it has gotten me interested in more healthy lifestyle choices and looking into more legitimate sources for that information. I'm glad my public library spent the money on this (audio) book and not me.
Over the top - but good information Sep 20, 2009 I think the author goes a bit over the top trying to convince you that he has no agenda but to bring the truth to the world - he spends way top much time early in the book repeating the same thing over and over - the medical industry is all about the money (greed) and he is mad and going to do something about it. Get past his sanctimonious sounding early preaching and the information seems to be accurate and well presented. I think I will benefit from reading this book in the long run
Great buy Sep 12, 2009 Love this book. Bought it used, appreciated the wear and notations. It let me know that the book was well work reading and taking notes from
book review Aug 26, 2009 This book was not exactly what I thought it would be but it is filled with a great deal of information.

Abysmal book - a complete rip-off Jul 25, 2009 There is absolutely nothing of value in this book. Kevin Trudeau is a crook who hypes this book in his infomercials. Truth of the matter is that the title is completely deceptive - there is not a single cure or suggestion for anything in the entire book. To summarize the entire book: basically Kevin Trudeau babbles about how the Government is out to get him and they are protecting the pharmaceutical industry. Whereas the later may be true if the former is true, then kudos to the Government - they ought to lock up this charlatan.
