 WAY BETTER THAN GOOD Jan 08, 2010
A fan of Santana, you should get this CD. Ok, it doesn't have some old gems and is heavier on new stuff but it has Black Magic Woman, Oye Como Va, Evil Ways. The you throw in Michelle Branch, Chad Kroeger, Rob Thomas, Tina Turner Steven Tyler and so many others you have one excellent CD. Ultimate, well, maybe not but forget the name, a great CD. RECOMMENDED.

 Should be "Ultimate Late 90's to the Present Santana" Sep 15, 2009
Having been around Carlos since 1972 I know what he's up to here. It kind of hurts my feelings to see Carlos as a mere backup player for much less talented artists. (and please don't write me back about how great J-Lo and Rob Thomas are. I get that, okay?) Not to say there aren't a few good tunes as a backup guy thrown on this disc. The fire he had years ago is not there anymore, although the licks are still wailin'. Hey Carlos! Put together your band from 1975 and kick some musical [...]. Ultimate Santana? Hardly. That would require at least a 10 disc set to compile, sans Rob Thomas, J-Lo and the rest of the musical free-loaders enjoying his licks on their songs, not a requisite album for the label bosses. I don't blame them, but I notice Clapton doesn't do that very often.

I'm prejudiced because Carlos Santana and his bands have been my favorite music and source of percussion inspiration for over thity years.

This is a fantastic CD, and it was in perfect condition, plus it came very quickly.

NOT THE BIGGEST SANTANA FAN, BUT THE SONG W/ TINA TURNER IS AWESOME. LOVE IT. WORTH THE PRICE OF THE ALBUM, DEFINATELY WORTH THE 99CENTS TO DOWNLOAD THE SONG. SO DIFFERENT THAN THE VERSION THEY PLAY ON THE RAIO
