"Denzel Is Amazing" Feb 26, 2010 Denzel Washington, one of my favorite actors, won his second Academy Award, this one for Best Actor, playing an unscrupulous, evil, demented police officer working the mean streets of Los Angeles. He gets a new partner in the form of Ethan Hawke, a young and innocent new rookie cop who is shocked by his partners unorthadox ways. "Training Day" is fast-paced, involving, and action packed, and just when you think the villin is going to get away with being bad, your vaulted out of your seat. Normally villins in movie history never win Oscars for their portrayals, but Denzel is so convincing you forget any of his other performances, a true mark of a splendid and versatile actor. The DVD set comes with audio commentary, an HBO look behind the scenes of the movie, 2 music videos, alternate ending, and more. The DVD is single layered. Rolling Stone says, "Denzel Washington is a sparking, snapping live wire".
best film of all time Feb 14, 2010 This movie is the best movie of all times... Quality is amazing, sound is really awesome.

bloody Feb 14, 2010 Again I do not like Denzel Washington in this type of movie. This, to me was a horrible movie, full of violence and vulgar language, which I do not think should be in any movie. Not the vulgar language used in this movie and the lewd scenes. Had I known this was the type of movie I was purchasing from Amazon, I would not have bought it.
This is your training day Officer Hoyt! Feb 03, 2010 Training Day is an awesome movie hands down. The fact that I can watch it with my sweet new blueray player on my sweet new HDTV makes it even better. I have it hooked in to my surround sound and the clip when denzel starts up the monte and that rap song starts playing... oh man, amazing.
Well Done Movie Jan 30, 2010 Good performances by all in this drama set in the South Central area of Los Angeles. Denzel is excellant, as usual. Good realism, good story, a little short on the ending, but still good.
