Wonderful Nov 04, 2009 Alexi Murdoch's music eliminates your surroundings and replaces it with a set for his story to unfold before your eyes. Music to be your life's soundtrack. In one word: wonderful. In another: divine.
BREATHE - Stargate Universe Oct 16, 2009 Alexi Murdoch's haunting melody "Breathe" was the concluding song for Episode 3 of the new SciFi show, "Stargate Universe". Beautiful acoustical guitar work.
The message for a busy world: Don't forget to breathe...

Great Voice, Needs Better Songs Sep 09, 2009 I got this as I loved the movie "Away We Go" and much of the soundtrack is music from Murdoch. Some of the music (mostly from the movie) is really impressive. Unfortunately, there are songs where he goes off into a ramble-singing style that some may say is well done, but it's not for me at all. One of his songs for instance, "Home", was just an odd screechy mess. Music does speak differently to different people, but for me, he's hit and miss.

Alexi Murdoch - A real winner! Sep 06, 2009 I first heard this artist in the recent movie Away We Go, and thought at first it was Nick Drake doing the music. When I waited through the credits to confirm my suspicions, I was surprised to see Alexi Murdoch's name. I absolutely LOVE this cd, and listen to it in the car all the time, where the mellow tones of his voice are even more intense. The only track I didn't like was track 3, Home, which is a cacophany of sound, with annoyingly repetitive lyrics. I find it in sharp contrast to all of the other tracks, which are melodic, lyrical, and sometimes folksy tunes, and my favorite is track 2, Breathe. I highly recommend this cd and look forward to future works by this artist.
Best new music May 17, 2009 I eagerly anticipated this CD after the "Four Songs". It didn't let me down. Great songs, especially Orange Sky.
