Everyone Needs A Good Story Nov 08, 2009 Since the 2008 Newport Folk Festival I have been listening to Brandi Carlile music. As I collect her work it becomes increasingly clear that the emotional stories and passion for song writing increases the happiness in my life. Don't miss this one.

This Woman CAN SING!!! Jul 25, 2009 This is an absolutely beautiful album.. she is PERFECT!!! Her songs contain very beautiful melodies that her voice tackles very well. i love it
The emotion in her voice is heartbreaking, she is singing beautifully sweet and then like nothing her voice turns into this powerful instrument with such rawness that makes chills go down your spine! she is absolutley wonderful. My Favorite song is Wasted, it's an absolute jem. The Story, Have You Ever, Cannonball Until I Die and Shadow On The Wall are some other absolute DIE-HARD favorites. The're ALL amazing!
I Love This woman. BUY THIS ALBUM YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!
Brandi Carlile Review Jun 23, 2009 This little lady really can sing. The Story is an excellent example of an outstanding voice. The title cut caught my attention during a commercial and won me over.
BELT IT OUT BABE........... Jun 15, 2009 How many years has it been since we had a "real" female singer, one who can actually move us and stick tunes in our head? Late 1960's with Linda Ronstead? 70's and 80's with Eva Cassidy?
Yes, we had voices from groups that shook us loose like Nancy Wilson with Heart and even the Abba chicks and Roxette's Marie. But where is the one woman who stood out alone with a voice so memorable you can't get her tunes out of your head?
Here we go.......... this chick, Brandi Carlile, started out as a little girl calling pigs...... Who Cares? Whatever happened with her voice was pure magic. Where the songwriting skill came from, I dunno? She penned lyrics that stick in your mind with melodies that are forever. Some lyrics are weak, as in, The Story "they don't know my hair's a mess". So, again, Who Cares? We still love the song.
Other greats on this CD are Cannonball and Until I Die and, in fact, every damn song on the CD is great listening. One of the best performances in years..........
Brandi Carlile Apr 27, 2009 She has a very unique voice and energy you can hear in her voice. Love the CD
