Twist on Praise Nov 02, 2009 The Sound is not for everyone, but if you love to praise God and looking for an upbeat cd with a young flare to it, then this is the cd for you!!! Try not to judge the cd until you hear it!
Uplifting and Funky! Nov 02, 2009 Great album! I usually never buy gospel music, but this ablum actually has made me a fan to listen to spiritual music all the time. The best track, "God in me".
I am THANKFUL for this INCREDIBLE cd!! Oct 15, 2009 IF you are looking for a powerful, upbeat, stylish, awesome, and anointed cd look no further. Mary Mary has done it again. Every song on this cd is great. When I first got this cd I played it all the way through three times. It was that good to me. The songs are upbeat and they made me want to dance, sing, cry, praise, and worship ( all at the same time). If I had to choose favorites I would have to say Superfriend, God In Me, I'm Running, Forgiven Me, Dirt, & Seattle. All I can say is POWERHOUSE!

Very disappointed :'-( Sep 03, 2009 When I realized that Mary Mary was finally coming out with a fourth album, I was excited. I was pleased with a fair amount of their past work. I google searched and searched Wikipedia for more information about when it would be released and who would be the guest appearances, producers, etc. I was shocked to see the name David Banner. If anyone does not know who David Banner is, search for his music on this site and listen to samples if the Holy Spirit permits you to. His music is the complete opposite of GODly. I fear that this CD will give the wrong impression and a mixed message to people, especially the unsaved.
I believe that Satan uses music, including so-called Christian music to influence masses. A friend of mine was conversing about how a particular secular artist only records music at night time. Night time is usually the time when people are getting high, drunk, being influenced by lustful spirits, etc. Recording artists who are influenced by those things, that spirit is being carried over in that song and has the potential to influence the listener.
When listening to this CD, the HOLY SPIRIT gave me an uneasy feeling. Not just because of the song that David Banner was on, but the entire album, especially the song "It's the GOD in Me." I didn't understand why. One day, while at the house of a relative, who was playing a secular radio station, I heard a song playing on the radio, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I asked around for someone to identify the song. I learned that the song is called "I Love Your Girl" by The Dream. I found the song on Playlist.com to listen to in its entirity to discern it and listen to the message of the song in depth. I was shocked and my heart was burdened. It sounded just like the Mary Mary song "It's the GOD in Me." It was the same instrumental, and lyrics sung in the same melody. However, in this song, The Dream sings about being in a club. Another guy walks in the club with his girlfriend and she and The Dream makes eye contact. He's telling the other guy how he "loves" his girl because of how she's dressed and how she dances and how he'd like to get her home for a one night stand.
The same spirit in the original song, crept it's way into a "gospel" song. Satan does not speak to people and identify himself as Satan. He comes as an angel of light. He creates false religions, philosophies, introduces pleasurful temptations, and he attaches the labels Christian, Gospel, JESUS, GOD, Holy, etc. to things that are definitley not of GOD. It is how he decieved masses.
I thought the production of this CD was great, but there is a lot of very unholy music out there with awesome production. Lyrically, I found no conviction. Nothing on this CD was challenging. I heard nothing on this CD that would draw someone closer to GOD or minister to anyone in any way. My opinion may be an unpopular one, but I'm just being honest. I believe GOD allowed me to buy and listen to this CD to tell others not to. GOD bless you. And let's continue to pray for Mary Mary.
I AM NOT TOO DEEP TO SEE HOW MANY SOULS THIS ALBUM COULD REACH!! Aug 26, 2009 First I want to commend MARY, MARY for stepping out and accepting the challenge. They obviously realize that todays generation have it tougher than previous and know that to reach them one has to meet them at the point of their need. For those so-called Christians who found this offensive, dont forget you were young and influential before God saved you!! Mary Mary does a wonderful job of showing young people that the music is in them and it comes from above, no matter what genre it is. Its the person who gives meaning to the song. I work in education and words cant express the hurt I feel when teenagers and young adults feel left out because traditionalism won't accept them. These are souls that need a voice and soldiers like MARY, MARY and KIRK FRANKLIN accepted that challenge to go and get them. Their music is hip-hop & R & B and thats what the young listen to, then thats what type of Gospel will attarct them. I'd rather see them dancing to hip-hop gospel than "booty" shacking and downgradiing themselves. Dance came from heaven also people; READ YOUR BIBLES again, to the naysayers! Its our job as seasoned christians to be role models once the young or unsaved, turn to God. A good role model doesnt have to be heard but let your actions preceed you. Christian life is not boring but there are those who want it to be, well not for me. My God is EXCITING!! The unchurched and young need to see that or they will go find the exictement in the club. So, THANK YOU MARY, MARY, KIRK FRANKLIN, KIKI SHEARD, FRED HAMMOND, ISREAL & YES EVEN SHIRLEY CEASAR gets her groove on, from time to time!!! Young people need this or the devil will continuosly take them. So Jam on, because I know I will!!
