The Second Stage Turbine Blade Oct 22, 2009 For those that are familiar Coheed and Cambria's music this album is more along the lines of "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" in terms of sound. If your not familiar with Coheed stop what your doing right now and listen to them. Overall, as much as I love all of Coheed's stuff, this album is my favorite. I'm sure there are several fans that would disagree with me, but if there's is one album I absolutely have to have it is this one. It took me awhile to get into this band, but once I did I couldn't stop listening.

Awesome Sep 09, 2008 This album rarely leaves my car stereo. When it does, I put in another Coheed CD. This just might be their best one, just because of "Everything Evil."

Well you can't fault the official debut from C&C for a lack of trying. Nearly every track is riddled with overindulgences, primarily on the vocal front but as a result of the pop-punk-progressive fused mentalities as well. Tis a shame, because one can sense with a little more tightening and focus the band could really successfully straddle the line between pop and prog.

Straight up Guitar Rock Apr 22, 2008 Second Stage Turbine, contrary to its title, is the first album from Coheed and Cambria. But, unlike many bands firsts, SSTB holds a confident, bold and rocking sound. Blending all that is great about punk, metal and pop, this album keeps stunning me the more I listen to it.
The songs are of decent length and contain many complex and satisfying guitar parts. There isn't much soloing on this album as their others, but the brilliance Travis Stever and Claudio Sanchez express on their guitars does not disappoint. If you are familiar with other Coheed albums, this one is a bit different (being their first) because it isn't crowded with strings or synth or weird effects like some of their latest stuff is. This is straight up guitar rock. And don't worry; regardless of what you've heard, they are defiantly NOT `emo.'
Superb Composition Mar 18, 2008 i can see why coheed and cambria have evolved to what they are now... i first heard of them with their album
Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV.. and i was hooked... i wanted to know what started it all and what makes these albums all one big story... this album is a must have if you're a big fan of Co&Ca.. don't expect the kind of music that they are playing now tho... remember, this is their first album as the name they carry now.
