Buy it, even if it has to be used. Dec 10, 2009 There were songs deleted from each show, from what I understand, it was three songs each. However, all of these songs were used in other concerts from the DVD set. This also includes some bonus footage on the first disc of a few tunes from what I think was a club or a theatre show, as well as a couple of instrumentals in the studio. The first disc includes a documentary about them putting together this tour, along with another documentary talking about shows that they did. Along with that includes the bonus footage I have just mentioned, along with a trailer for a live DVD from that tour of a special concert in Canada. That concert film is not one that I've seen, so I can't really say anything about it. However, I am interested in seeing it.
The second disc is an HBO special that they decided to use for this disc, of them doing an Arena show in Madison Square Garden. The third disc is a large show they did in Twikenham Stadium in London. The final disc is them doing a theatre show in Paris.
The HBO concert includes a lot of classics, and it really shows Ronnie Wood at his best. Ronnie does a great guitar solo for "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," he has a camera at the end of his guitar for a tune, and during a moment where on the jumbotron, for a tune where there were four camera shots of each member, they use Ronnie in each one during the guitar solo. There's also a great part of the show where they go into the center of the arena, and perform a few classics at the end. Of course, they had to do an encore, so they did "Jumpin' Jack Flash." I should mention that each concert ends with "Jumpin' Jack Flash." Sheryl Crow also makes a guest appearance during "Honky Tonk Women."
The one in Twikenham Stadium is the only one that's in wide screen. I think that this is the show where they were the most focused on playing the big hits. They also did a few tunes in the center of the stadium. This one is the big stadium show.
The one in Paris is the one where they mainly pick the tunes that they don't commonly do. This show also has probably the best band introduction. Because it's a theatre, they don't do the performance in the center of the venue, but it's the only one that begins with the tune that they should really use as the show opener "Start Me Up." This one is very special.
The special features on each disc include the jumbotron animation for "Honky Tonk Women," multiple camera angle versions of a few tunes from their HBO special, them talking about the special guests that they played with during the tour, them saying things about how their songs were written, and for the Stadium and Theatre shows, they even include an option of watching the concerts with backstage footage.
This is a great concert boxed set, and I heavily recommend it to anyone who likes this sort of stuff.
good mix Nov 04, 2009 Good set of dvds, they bust out a couple of tunes we dont hear often. Cant you here me knockin and stray cat blues is nice, also cool to have a "club" show involved, though its a large crowd. The behind the scenes dvd where mick is working out with a personal trainer and the band seems nervous before the first show is interesting. Overall very good.
Old rock stars will never die but..... Oct 08, 2009 Great music and shows with many classics and suberb quality. But Jagger voice is quite poor, compared with Jagger in the 60's and 70's. THIS DVD IS BADLY ADVERTISED, THE REGION CODE IS "1" NOT "ALL REGIONS" AS IT COMES IN THE ADVERTISEMENT. SO THIS IS HOW I GOT IT FROM THE SELLER. I'm from Europe but with my computer didn't have any problems.
4 Flicks May 10, 2009 Very good product...It contained two essential items:First,I learned much
about the history of this great Rock&Roll band;secondly, the videos were both personable and entertaining!

Music DVDs Dec 12, 2008 If you're an avid "Stones Fan" - this DVD is a must to own! From Madison Square Garden to London's Twickenham Stadium and Paris Olympia Stadium - this blend of music & video will keep you "Rocking!" If you've been to the concerts over all the years - there's no denying why they're most often introduced as "The Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World!"
