I heard this song and have called the radio stations, searched the internet, asked my son (who is a music expert) and could not find out the name of the artist. This young man can sing and this song will become a classic. I understand his CD is scheduled for July 22--hurry up! I am having a hard time waiting. Noel, you got it!!!!--you really GOT IT!!!

Wow, Noel Gourdin! First, let me say that Steve Harvey is such a blessing to have an ear for music and to reach out to people in the music industry to help this brother become such a huge success. Second, The River, this song is so clear, so rich, and so full of soul. This song takes you back to the time when you would sit in your back yard, under the tree in your lawn chair, drinking your favorite drink. Good feeling! Much love and success to you Noel. Can't wait for the CD to drop.

How do we get the CD? I, too, first heard this on Steve Harvey & have been hearing it on other local stations now. I'd like to purchase the cd but can't seem to get it.

I actually love this track and like everybody, I heard it first on Steve Harvey's morning show. I also found a new track by Noel called "ONE LOVE"...HOT TO DEATH !!!
Can wait for u to drop a full disc homey. Love the voice, the lyrics, the style, etc. We need some real music in our ears.
If any of you get the chance to purchase this track (and One Love) make sure you do...you won't be disapointed. I'll keep checking for the album !

Old School in a New Soul Apr 03, 2008
I'm proud to say I am truly Old School, living in the heart of Motown, Detroit, MI. Now with that said while listening to Steve Harvey one morning I was totally blown away by this "New Soul", named Noel Gourdin. This young man evokes the rebirth of Donny & Marvin. The young man has a wonderful voice that delivers soulful meaning from his words. It is so refreshing to hear a young male singer using a throwback style of song writing. Noel Gourdin is the latest of the "New Soul" singers I enjoy listening to. I can't wait til he releases a CD. With this first gem I am sure he has more treasures in store for us.
