 Three Good things Nov 12, 2008
There are only three good things about this album.
Estou Aqui - in Portuguese
Um Poco De Amor - in Portuguese
and Pes Delcalcos - in Portuguese
These I would consider the only real contributions by Shakira to this album, and it's interesting to hear her sing these songs in a different language. And trust me, in spite of the similarities between the two languages, these versions sound very different from the Spanish originals.
As for the Re-mixes. I am definitely not a fan. First, a Remix usually has no input from the original artist, so that immediately lowers their worth in my opinion. Secondly, the few DJ's remixing the songs seem to have the same bag of tricks they applied to each song. There's no connection really to the intent or even the tune of the original songs, and in a few, the distortions of Shakira's vocals is downright criminal.
It's up to you if the price of the album is worth it for three worthwhile additions to your library, and 8 pieces of filler. If these three songs are among your favorites, it may well be, but unless you're a completest, you can safely give this CD a pass.

useless to explain for those who aren't fans of shakira. if you are then you need to have this cd in your collection. Songs are calm and relaxed,they invite to imagine what must be barranquilla moderna.
The cd art is excellent and the print on the cd itself is unique! a must have for the fans yeah!

this album is such INCRIDIBLE!!!!you can not lost this one!!shakira -the remixes ,was originaly made for brazilian market, in 1997. Shakira is the most sucessful singer here. her album *pies descalços* sold more than 2.500.000 copies and this selling record never was broken!!this one was release for her fans like a ¨stand by¨ until the release of *donde estan los ladrones*.
1.shakira dj memêgamix 8/10--remixed for memê, a brazilian DJ,is a cool start, but not the best
2.estoy aqui extended remix 7/10--i think -the original version is better
3.donde estan los ladrones dance remix 10/10--is more catchy than original version
4.un poco de amor extended dancehal 12''6/10--to much extended for my taste!
5.pies descalços meme's club mix 10/10-- remixed for the most sucessful DJ in BRAZIL, my favorite one!!!!
6,7,8,9 no make diference at all!!!

I like this CD.All the CD.I recommend it so much.Especially if you like Shakira and you like remixes, you will love it.
