 Inspirational book Oct 22, 2009
This is a wonderful book that is both inspiring and motivational. Highly recommend for anyone looking for "more" for their lives.

So far most of the material this book is based on is straight from the Bible, but it uses verses out of so many versions of the Bible that it's not all linked together. The newer versions have totally different meanings than the older versions and the author picked and chose which ever version fit what he was trying to say, when in other versions it didn't have this same meaning. I suggest you use caution when reading this book and turn directly to the verses in your Bible instead of reading them out of the book.
The verses are italicized where written in the daily material, but where it's found in the Bible is not included. There is a reference number and you must turn to the back of your book, find the day you are studying, the reference number you are looking for, and then find it in your Bible. Not very handy.
The ouline of doing daily lessons is a good idea though. I have not finished this book yet, but thought I should get some of this out for others interested.
Shipping Cost too much! Oct 15, 2009
Finding and ordering the books were very easy, however, the shipping costs defeats the purpose in ordering on-line. I could have purchased them locally and saved money.

Everyone should read this book. Oct 07, 2009
This is not a career guidance book. This book does not tell you specifically what you should do with your life. But it does help you understand your purpose. Your purpose is greater than your career, your accomplishments, your wealth, or your social status. Your purpose will bring you fulfillment, and if you follow your purpose, you will find joy. This book can help you do that. I would recommend this book to everyone, but especially to people graduating from High School. As they leave the nest this book can help guide the critical decisions that are made early in life and help steer people to places where they will find greater fulfillment.

Rick Warren "A Purpose Driven Life" Oct 06, 2009
I have heard much about Rick Warren. His thinking is the kind that I want my grandchildren to be influenced by. Today's normal violent fare on TV, and in the movies, is what is making our society violent. Children are being taught how to handle their problems. Shoot! Shoot! Shoot! Kill! Kill! Kill! Society looks elsewhere and the answer is staring us in the face. We just saw it in Chicago at a school let out. Violence will continue to grow more violent and more prevalent unless we get back to non-insolent humor, musical comedy type entertainment, and manners and respect for others. Where are today's Marx Brothers? The Three Stooges is not Intentional Violence. Intention is Everything! I bought these books for my grandchildren.
