Still the same just more creative Aug 27, 2009 forget the haters mudvayne always had slow and fast songs the music and lyrics are still from the same band but more intresting. if you hate this cd you must be tone deaf or like gay bands like hollywood undead.
a very good album Aug 17, 2009 This album is a little different from their past efforts, though they are re-using a lot of the same scales (what guitar player doesn't).
I give it 4/5. If you like their old stuff you should probably get this one too.

Boring Jul 17, 2009 I have been gravitating towards black and death metal since 2003. And this album is even more reason for me too.
I have already pretty much stopped listening to the radio a couple of years ago because I got sick of hearing Nirvana and Sublime 10 times a day, each, and they were first popular 15 YEARS AGO. Plus there is the crap that is currently being played adnaseum on any rock station.
I was a big fan when they first came out, but like most bands they ran out of ideas and put out crap like this and the last "album" just to make money. This is a completely uninspired piece of dreck, totally radio friendly and a complete waste of my time.
Only get this if you are a die-hard Mudvayne fan and if you do, you aren't.

great cd! if you dont like it you are prob a LP fan Jul 17, 2009 hardcore to the bone for new metal, if you want a break from nickleback, shinedown, linkon park (cant spell their name because they shouldn't be classified as metal).... great buy, a must if you want true NEW metal!

True creativity May 23, 2009 This album has a tremendous amount of criticism as of late, and I'm having a hard time understanding it. Boring music is doing the same thing over and over. Mudvayne has created something new and really shown thier ability to adapt and create new and interesting music. Every song is laced with individuality, and the powerful "Hate in Me" and "Same 'Ol" shows that heavy guitar riffs and head-numbing drum beats are still thier forte'. I can't stop listening. AMAZING!!!
