Description:

Hare we go again! The ear-repressible Bugs Bunny takes top billing (we had no choice, it's in his contract) in this rollicking, rambunctious feature-length romp through some of the cwaziest cartoon cwassics! Things start out plenty looney as Yosemite Sam strikes a Devilish bargain to send Bugs straight to you-know-where! The looniness continues as Daffy and Tweety tangle with a pair of feather-brained bird-napping gangsters. And in the even loonier finale, Bugs turns Hollywood's glitziest awards ceremony into a cartoon-star-studded disast-hare zone! A fabulous, 24-carrot tour de farce from animation legend Friz Freleng!

4The movie is fun, but the bonus cartoons are all new to DVD!  May 01, 2009
This movie cuts together many classic cartoons to make three half hour stories.
First half hour is Bugs v.s. Yosemite Sam.
The second half hour is dedicated to the gangster Rocky.
And the third half hour is a Oswald Award show for th best performance by a cartoon character.

But it is the three uncut bonus cartoons that are the jewels here!

BOX OFFICE BUNNY (1990) has theater manager Daffy & usher Elmer trying to get Bugs Bunny out of their theater just like the classic cartoons,

FROM HARE TO ETERNITY (1996/1998) pits Bugs against Yosemite Sam. Frank Gorshin (The Riddler) tries to do the voice of Sam, but he is no Mel Blanc. Yosemite Sam encounters Bugs Bunny while hunting for treasure.
The copyright notice is over written by a new notice that states "This version copyright 1998...", but the old roman numeral 1996 copyright can still be seen. I wonder what was changed!

PULLET SURPRISE (1997) is a classic Foghorn Leghorn cartoon! Foghorn protects the henhouse from Pete Puma by pretending to 'train' Pete on how to take chickens. He uses the bull from "Bully For Bugs". Frank Gorshin does the voices again, but this time he is right on with Foghorn Leghorn!

While no digital restoration was done, the three new cartoons look immaculate & the feature is sharp with very good color. The only flaw would be the original dust in the animation cells, we are so used to that being removed for DVD but hey, that is how it was seen in the theaters!

4That's Friz Folks!!  Mar 27, 2009
When it has came down to Warner Brothers, they done a good job, but not completely definite job at reflecting the best in their Looney Tunes library, as was the case with the recently retired Looney Tunes Golden Collection series. Nevertheless, they did say they were going to still release classic movies and shorts from the Looney Tunes library. After the Looney Tunes Spotlight Collection: Volume 3 The Movie Collection which was the lone spark in the smaller-priced packages, there honestly was a huge need of seeing more of the classic Looney Tunes films come into light again. That also was shown with their most honored director, the late Friz Freleng, whom will nest year have been 15 years since his tragic passing. For an animator whom won 5 Oscars, it is fitting to see his looniness come to light again on DVD.

The Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie which is finally re-released on DVD, is a well-reflected cavalcade on some of Friz Freleng's finest in animation within 3 chapters reflecting around Friz Freleng's best creations: Satin's Waitin' where Yosemite Sam goes after Bugs in all parts of the world, after winding in the unmentionable place. As a result, Sam must go after Bugs, to place him down there, but doesn't actually get what he wants after battling Bugs in The Old West, the Sahara Desert and Ancient Rome. The second chapter is a expanded take-off from Friz's last classic Looney Tunes cartoon with bugs,

The Unmentionables. Where Bugs a.k.a. Elegant Mess, is recruited to go after the loopy duo of Rocky and Mugsy and battle them from their needs for theft and money, with a little help from Sylvester, and Daffy too. The final chapter is more like award season, as the Looney Tunes gang celebrates at Friz's Oswald Awards, where the best of the Looney best wants to get the coveted award, with their reflection from Friz's best acrtoons like Tweety & Sylvester's Brids Anonymous, the swinging Jazz-twisted spinoff of the Three Little Pigs, Three Little Bops, all leading to High Diving Hare, all leading to a rebellion protest from Daffy where he challenges Bugs to a duel on stage into the clips from Show Biz Bugs to see who can knock 'em dead with the best applause.

The DVD has been remastered nicely, and does include a few extras, which actually have mostly little to do with what Friz has done afterwards but add a nice touch to the cartoon, as 3 of Warner's 90's lesser-known looney tunes shorts are premired on DVD, the Chuck Jones take-offs on Robert McKimson's Foghorn Leghorn and Freleng's Yosemite Sam with Pullet Surprise and From Hare To Eternity with Jones' take on Sam going after Bugs and Box Office Bunny, which was the first original Bugs short since the 60's.

Still, if you haven't seen Friz Freleng's Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny movie, or if you are a hard core Looney Tunes fan, than you'll definitely love this great which will be on DVD soon. I loved watching this when I was a kid, now a hard core Looney Tunes fan for over 25 years, and I still love the animation that Friz had made for a generation. This is definitely a must buy for you DVD collection and is mostly and strongly does the job for what could've been done with the Looney Tunes Golden Collection had mostly done. This is truthfully saying as a whole, That's Friz Folks!
