A Must for Celine Fans Feb 01, 2010
I bought this as a Christmas present for my BFF and he loved it. He hasn't stopped playing it in the car. We can't understand a word but it is beautiful!
Young Celine Dion at her best! May 08, 2009 This is a little jewel, specially for those who can enjoy listening and understanding French.
Celine Dion shows her quality as singer, and a beautiful voice that --from my viewpoint-- has lost with the years.
This record shows how good Celine was when she was younger.
A delightful experience, indeed.
Celine at her best Feb 09, 2009
every
Celine is one of our better singers. This cd is top notch. the only one thing that I would change is, the same songs are on every cd.
C'Est Superb! May 28, 2008 Celine Dion is not only an accomplished vocalist of the English language but she provides her native Canadian French language vocals here. The songs if you know any French are easy to sing along. The French Album is a great tribute to the French language as well. It has helped me enormously improve my own French as I listen to it in the car. Celine Dion still makes music in both French and English and I hope she keeps it up. She has a beautiful voice that is a gift from God.
Simply Amazing Oct 28, 2007 First of all Celine Dion is a French-speaking artist. So this is not her first French CD. Don't forget, she started recording when she was 12 years old and she released her 1st French album in 1981. This came out in 1995. It is the best-selling French album of all-time. All the songs are written exclusively for her. So Jean-Jacques Goldman wrote all the songs for Celine and Celine only. He got to know who she is and wrote accordingly. It's a concept album.
This CD is gotta be the best French speaking CD ever. Indeed, Celine's French career is like a separate career. Yes, this girl has 2 well-defined careers. The songs are amazing to say the list. The album is consistent and Celine channels all the emotions through them.
Without a doubt, Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore is the best French song ever. Everybody at some point in their lives has felt this way about someone. It's an instant classic and it's famous all over the world. Celine's voice is perfect. She starts softly while asking the love of her life to stay and she ends up high to the point of begging him not to go. The emotions are priceless for sure.
Vole is a tear-jerker. It's dedicated to her niece Karine who passed away so if you don't know the story of this song, you won't find it appealing. But once you know
