 Want to learn how to love effectively? Aug 12, 2009
This is the book for you.
I read this a few years back and it revolutionized the way I looked at how different people acted and why they did the things they do. It was so frustrating to me that people didn't understand me and even more frustrating that I didn't understand others.
But after reading this book, it all made sense.
My situation was the one he diagnosed in the book - not knowing the differnce between the Love Language I speak and the one that others speak. I naturally thought that everyone spoke my language. Boy, was I wrong. This book started helping me show others how I care for them in their own language, and it has made things SO much better.
Thank you for writing this book Dr. Chapman.

 Same book, different wrapper May 30, 2009
If you've already read "The Five Love Languages," don't waste your money since it's the exact same book with minor changes in print style to make it more "masculine." There are a few minor additions at the end of each chapter, focusing his recommendations more to the men's point of view. However, billing this as a separate edition is nothing more than false advertisement.

This book has been wonderful!! It was a blessing in disguise. My husband listened to it on CD while I listened to the original version on CD.... needless to say, we are both more aware of what the other needs to feel love. Our marriage has improved tremendously as we seek to fill each others love tank!!!

This Mens's Edition of The Five Love Languages really gets into the depths of understanding how to demonstrate love to each person, based on their own personal make-up. Who would have ever thought that someone would come across such information that actually makes love make actual sense.
Heartfelt thanks goes to Dr. Chapman for such inspiring information. It gives people hope both to love, and to love again.
