As good as brand new! Sep 30, 2009 I couldn't tell any difference between the appearance or sound quality of this cd and others I have bought brand new. Excellent Quality!
Whitney songs are great, the rest not so much. Sep 19, 2009 The Bodyguard soundtrack sold millions and millions of copies thanks to the song, I Will Always Love You. That song was written by Dolly Parton, Whitney's version is a homerun - but everytime I hear it now I kinda cringe. I Have Nothing and Run To You are the best tracks on here. I never cared for I'm Every Woman, I'd be so happy if I never had to hear that song again! This is when Whitney could really sang! Good soundtrack but not essential.

"The CD That Made Dolly Rich!" Jul 12, 2009 "The Bodyguard" CD has gone on to be the biggest selling sountrack album from a movie of all-time, selling over 20 million copies alone in the U.S.. Whitney Houston was one of the producers of the project, but it was Kevin Costner who suggested she record the Dolly Parton masterpiece "I Will Always Love You". Costner had actually loved Linda Ronstant's version of the song and thought Whitney would do wonders with it. David Fostner produced the soundtrack and it would stay at #1 on the Billboard Pop Album Chart for 20 weeks. "I Will Always Love You" would stay at #1 on the singles charts for 14 weeks and became not only Whitney's signature single but Dolly Parton's biggest money making song that she ever wrote in her career.
Other Whitney songs that are excellent on the album are "Run To You" and "I Have Nothing", both of which were nominated for Oscars for Best Song. "I Will Always Love You" couldn't be nominated for Best Song at that years Academy Awards because it wasn't written for the movie, having being penned by Dolly in 1973.
Other artists who appear on "The Bodyguard" CD are Lisa Stansfield, a huge pop singer from the early '90's, and Chakka Khann.

Missing Whitney Houston Feb 16, 2009 I used to own this CD many years old, then lent it to a friend and never got it back. Buying this CD again is a re-visit of Whitney Houston's powerful and beautiful voice that used to touch so many people's hearts around the world. This soundtrack was recorded and produced by the musical legend David Foster, a milestone for Whitney and Kevin's successful career. Whitney had gone out of scene for many years due to her personal issues and surprisingly shown up at the 2009 Grammy Award. Hope to see her new songs and albums in the future. Love it, true masterpiece by David Foster.
