I love this book! Jan 14, 2010 This is the best "diet"book I've ever purchased. Switching to a healthier lifestyle is done in small steps so that they are easy to incorporate into your life. You get to eat all the food you love, but healthier. I have been doing phase 2 for 10 days and have lost 5 lbs. and I have more energy.

Odd combinations Nov 16, 2009 Many of the recipes in this book require unusual ingredients you would not normally have in your pantry. Plus if you run to the store to get them, their addition to the recipe is questionable, like unsweetened cocoa in chicken breasts with pumpkin seeds. Granted for many people this may sound appealing, but for my husband and I, most of the recipes in this book were way "out there." I wanted to try a fish recipe but the sounds of "Cod with Broiled Grapefruit and Avocado Butter" was tough to think about as was the "Rockfish with Clementines."
I finally decided on a dessert, since we were having company that loved chocolate but they were on a diet. How could "Chocolate Cake" be anything but fabulous? Well, these individual chocolate cakes were a tasteless disappointment.
Even the pictures in the book are not jumping out at you with appeal. I love to cook and I am forever watching my weight, but this book is a dust collector.

very livable diet Sep 22, 2009 I am on phase I of this diet and I haven't lost any weight. Phase 2 there will be more calorie restiction and weight loss. What it has done is improved my eating habits so I feel more control. No more starvation and over eating. My weight is constant and I could stay on phase 1 for the rest of my life. This diet is about making healthy long term changes.
The Best Life Diet Jul 01, 2009 This book is a great book for those who are looking to loose weight and to learn how to eat right. Eating right is a life style. There are some great recipes found at the back of the book.
The Best Life Diet by Bob Greene May 14, 2009 A life changing book. Everyone should read it and make it a point to apply it. It's about being healthy and enjoying life in moderation. Absolutely Worth it!!
