Fantastic Blues! Nov 06, 2009 I love Joe Bonamassa!! I saw him perform at the Monterey Blues Festival in California, and his guitar playing is just magical! His voice just makes me weep! He's one of my all-time favorite musicians ever, andI love all kinds of music (heavy metal, rock, blues, country, opera, classical, etc)! I've enjoyed all of Joe's CDs, but this one is the best yet!
Fabulous - his best so far Sep 28, 2009 Saw Joe this summer and he was great. This work of his is his best so far.
He is the best guitarist I've ever heard.
Good stuff Sep 16, 2009 The first song gave me goose bumps when cranked up.
all the rest are good, play it loud.Good rockin' blues!
That man can play the blues guitar! Sep 03, 2009 Great CD from Joe Bonamassa. I have visited his great concert in my town, Odense, in Denmark, before I also bought the CD. One more with Joe to me!
Maybe Joe is not a player with such a great voice, but he knows how to play great guitar on great numbers!
Five out of five stars!
The next stretch of a winding road Aug 29, 2009 I have read several of the reviews while listening to Joe's latest. I have to agree with one particular review - the more I have listened the more it is becoming my favorite of Joe's yet, it seems to be a "grows on you" album. There isn't a single track that I feel the urge to skip. Blues Deluxe even has one such track. Whether I would without a doubt label this as strictly blues is questionable, but I can only encourage prior fans to give it a try. Joe's development has some new twists and turns, but each is unique and entertaining. I believe the notes that Joe hits in a couple songs only represents his willingness to progress and I for one am pleased. It is far from the riffless album that some posts almost had me believing. There are still some rocking tracks on this one, although most are slower than the earlier entries. At least I'm not left with the feeling that he pushed anything out on this one that sounds like it's something he shouldn't be doing. Joe's voice and guitar fit every song. Joe, I am one fan who is impressed.
If you want the same style over and over, purchase some of Gary Moore's blues albums..although I love his music as well, I don't believe he has progressed in his style for quite some time.
