Simply The Best: Annie Lennox Sep 07, 2009 This is well worth the money. I used to listen to Annie Lennox as I walked to and from school in London. I had a blast sometimes singing and dancing my way home and that was with a cassette Walkman. I'll never forget how her music impressed me then. It still makes the same mark now. Annie is in a class all her own. And though I thought she and her partner in the Eurythmics were odd in the 80's, I still sing "Here comes the rain again..." with the same passion and enthusiasm as I did then. This is a phenomenal gem to have in your collection.
A++++ Aug 18, 2009 A++++ although the DVD could have been as a continuous video. Nevertheless, lovely. Must have.
3 stars Jul 29, 2009 Annie really let us down with this offer. The music was great but the the DVD videos were absolutely horrible. I would have given this 5 stars if there was just another CD with more music. I was disappointed.
Excellent Jun 13, 2009 Delightful, comprehensive compilation with subtle re-workings that enhance and refresh the songs while maintaining their integrity (most notably in Cold and Little Bird - just different enough from the album and radio versions to be noticeable). Fantastic liner notes included with new reflections from the artist. Complete videography - without a "play all" feature which is my only suggestion for improvement (aside from offering a blu-ray version).
Just fantastic and well worth the purchase price.
DVD in MONO? May 28, 2009 I was excited to purchase this since Sony BMG in our country just released the CD. No DVD at all! So better get it here on an even upgraded deluxe version with another bonus disc. What's best is that the 2 new songs are already in a form of video in the DVD. However reading some of those reviews here they were right when there is no continuous play for the videos. Also absent is the video for "Love Song for a Vampire" which is present on the CD/DVD combo only. And to make things worse, all the videos except Pattern Of My Life and Shining Light were all in Mono. Can't believe this. Some of the video quality is crap. Sound isn't even mixed in 5.1.
