Good complete source of info Oct 11, 2009 Great book for Lightroom. Goes beyond the simple software usage and actually explains effects and when to use them.
Way much better than the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 How-Tos: 100 Essential Techniques which is lousy.
Worth the money.

Lightroom 2 Guide is Fantastic Sep 22, 2009 I have found this book is all I need to learn Lightroom 2 along with my classroom time. It's written in a very practical way and from a photographer's viewpoint of how the workflow should be done. I would have been lost without this book. Martin Evening is an excellent writer, photographer and instructor. Buy this book! You won't regret it.

Great Book Sep 18, 2009 This book is very well written great layout, Author has very good grasp of the software, doesn't get bogged down, very simply spoken and great images to go along with the topic

The best book if you really want to understand LR Jul 26, 2009 I looked extensively at Kelby's book at a Barnes & Noble, I bought Coalson's book from Amazon based on the glowing 5 star reviews and returned it. As soon as I opened Evening's book I knew it was for me. Just the two Appendices have more technical detail than either book mentioned above combined.
If you want to go beyond the help files, if you have a technical bent, and if you want clearly explained text and not just bullet points or recipes then you will enjoy this book.

A Beginner book Jul 25, 2009 I bought this book after reading its intoduction and users reviews, and I expected to get a book which would take me to the next level in operating LR2 software.
however, the book is a pure "basic" book with no really drill down into the software operation details
it is totally a waste of money for those who can operate the software quite freely, or for those who can watch Youtube
for beginner, it is a nice book
