Sister Shalom Dec 23, 2008 Patra and Diane King can bring from the past and change for our future so all afro women can appreciate.
Nice remixes CD, from two of reggae's most known female artists... Oct 21, 2005 Back in 1995, Diana King and Patra ruled as reggae's most popular female artists. Years have passed, and both artists have been sadly forgotten, but we have this collection to remind us of some of their biggest hits. Patra gets the first half of the CD, featuring her five biggest hits with the #1 "Worker Man", "Queen Of The Pack", "Romantic Call" and "Think (About It)" off her debut album, and "Pull Up To The Bumper" being the only representation from her second album (there was one other single released from that, which could've been included, the duet with Aaron Hall on "Scent Of Attraction").
Meanwhile, Diana King gets the second half, featuring her crossover hit "Shy Girl", plus another song from her debut ("Ain't Nobody", her contribution to the Cool Runnings soundtrack ("Stir It Up"), and two singles from her second album ("I Say A Little Prayer" and "L-L-Lies").
Overall, a nice collection of hard-to-find remixes, unless you own the remix CD singles, or Diana King's overseas "Remix Kingdom" album. Very good price, yet, you should check out their albums (Patra has 2, plus a 3rd one being released this year, and Diana King has 3 albums to her credit now) to better remember these two excellent performers.
