 One big delicious read! Nov 20, 2009
Of course after being "bit" by True Blood this summer, which happened to be Season 2 on HBO, I purchased Season 1 and became completely caught up with the characters and their assorted background stories in about a week. So where to turn next to quench my "thirst"? Of course, where it all began with the entire Sookie Stackhouse Books set, 1-7. And what a treat it was, I read the entire set in about a week and a half, and yes I did accomplish other tasks besides. Rarely have I become so enamored with a book series and actually felt compelled to go through them so swiftly. I recognized the differences the series decided to take compared to the books however those differences did not take away from my complete enjoyment of the books in the least. I'm not sure how I would have felt the other way around having read the books first and then viewed the series, but from my journey, the book set simply added to the stories and the experience. I then read the next two books in the series and I now wait patiently with the other Sookie Stackhouse book lovers for the newest installment.

I love the Sookie Stackhouse books. I started watching the series and my best friend suggested the books. Now I'm hooked and recommending them to my sister and my mom to read.
I was shopping for this set for my sister's x-mas gift and found it at Border's for $65. Getting it on Amazon saved me about half the price! The set was delivered to my house within a week in pristine condition. A REALLY good deal!

excellent price for this brand new box set, if you like the show you love this set but be aware it doesn't coincide exactly like the show. there are some character and chronological differences. good buy if you want to see an alternate storyline (not completely different just slightly).

These are great books, I seem to be just flying through them they are so good. I really recommend purchasing this product. I watched the first 2 season on HBO before I received these and the stories are quite a bit different than the show (More in the love story aspect) but it is still great.
