I just do not understand why you would put out a soundtrack and have it not be the same exact songs featured in the show. I think it was something along the lines of copyright reasons...I don't remember. This started with the Songs From Season 3 CD. I loved the song Unraveling and they had Tyler sing it for the soundtrack, really, I love Tyler but he has his own songs. They could of done something like the CD sleeve thing have pictures of the writer of the song and name and brief bio or website to go to to hear more. Instead they had the writers of the songs sing the songs...and it's just not the same. The songs are written for Jude Harrison's character because they are supposed to be written by her in the show, and when she sings them there are certain feelings there based on what's going on in the show. The other characters should have their songs featured, that's awesome, but why have the writers sing the songs when this is soundtrack? I love Instant Star so I bought this, as I bought the other Instant Star CDs and DVDs(where are season 3 & 4 on DVD anyway?). It is a nice addition/completion to my collection...but still I would of preferred Alexz's versions of all of Jude's songs.

I agree with everyone else. I actually came on here to check if Amazon has a track listing for this CD (like it does for the other 3 seasons), and it does not. We all purchased this CD hoping it would be like seasons 1 & 2 (as it was released close in time to season 3 and I purchased both at the same time), and I received my CDs and was entirely disappointed that no-names are performing these songs. They should come with some sort of disclaimer so you know what you are getting into!
I will definitely be looking for a full track list (with performers!) before I even CONSIDER buying the greatest hits album... (whenever THAT is released).

This CD was worth my money! The only bad thing about it was that the song writers sing some of the songs instead of Alexz. I love this CD, and I listen to it almost every day! It has the hit songs from the show including Higher Ground, 2 A.M., Live Like Music, and many more! It also comes with a poster of the cast. If you love Instant Star season 4, you will love this CD!

I have 2 complaints about the cd. One: the quality that it was recorded is aweful. I bought the cd brand new, got it in the mail, loaded it immediatly to my pc and then onto my ipod. I soon discovered that several of the songs would skip and were very distorted at parts like I was using an old discman that had no skip protection. I googled the reviews for the cd and found out this is a common problem for this cd. The people who physically made the cd really messed up or used some bad discs. My second complaint: There are only 4 songs on the whole cd that are preformed by Alexz Johnson. I was very disappointed in that. Her performance of the songs on the show are what prompted me to be patient while waiting sooooo long for the U.S. release of the cd. I sadly discovered that majority of the songs are performed by several Canadian stars that we haven't heard much from in the states. Some did the songs justice but most others destroyed the song. I couldn't stand to listen to it. And some of those were the songs I was looking forward to most to listen to. Luckily they are coming out with a greatest hits album for the show and some of the songs that were not peformed by Alexz on the seasons soundtracks she will be performing. I hope this helps anyone considering buying this disc. I am a HUGE fan, so after reading this I probably would still purchase it, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high for it is all.

I was really annoyed with this Cd,one because most of the songs aren't even sung by people from the show, and two That Was Us doesn't play right AND wont upload to my computer. If I would have paid more attention and realized this in the fist place I wouldnt have bought the Cd.
