 A think tank worth listening to.. Feb 28, 2009
I have just recently been listening to this group. I purchased the last CD they made together before the leader past away. Their music making is very original and wonderful to listen to. They create a sound world that is both calming and arresting at the same time...Music from another world, yet very listenable....

Fascinating Jazz Trio Jul 12, 2008
Gentle, sweet, flowing and elegant. A well knit group and beautifully constructed song selections. I love the synth effects that sparkle here and there and up the dazzle ante. Favorites in this selection include:
"From Gagarin's point of view"; "The Face of Love"; "Pavane"; "The Chapel". Although I have to say that the entire CD is excellent. Through and through.

Another Jazz Classic! Jun 09, 2008
This is one of those discs that you'll play years after you buy it. It never loses its charm. The way it builds from simple piano themes to complex experimental productions (with various samples, radio noize, etc.) it captivating. I've listened to this for more than 2 years, and still enjoy it as much as the day I got it. It's a classic. And one of the best by E.S.T.

Innovative, Challenging, and Exciting Jul 28, 2006
I have three CD's from E.S.T. and they all have a permanent place in my play list. This group has a fresh and innovative approach to their interpretation of Jazz. Sometimes challenging, often exciting, and at times mesmerizing. The more you listen to more you get hooked. This is not background music, this is a CD to sit down listen and enjoy the ride. Two definate thumbs up.
