More like "Definition of a Terrible Mistake" Sep 13, 2002 I don't know what possessed me to purchase this album. I am a So So Def fan and even though I knew what it had to offer from the number of tracks it had I bought it anyway because it was so cheap. Also because I like the "Welcome to Atlanta" remix. After hearing the album, it was quite apparent that even that song couldn't make the album listenable. This album wasn't even worth the eight bucks that I paid for it. Why in the world are there only seven tracks? And another reason, why are most of the tracks about two years older or more? Some of these remixes started on the radio when I was in high school? I am 20 years old right now. The "Promise" remix was made before anyone knew who Loon was. Why not some more recent remixes. People mentioned the Mariah Carey remixes among others, but what about the Basketball remix with Fabolous and Bow Wow? That would have at least added content. Or how about the "I Got It" remix by Jagged Edge which featured Nas? Why not make some new remixes from Bow Wow's "Doggy Bagg" album? There are so many questions left unanswered when you think about the album's quality. This album could have been so much better and I have no idea what So So Def was trying to accomplish with this rushed work. If it was an experiment to see if they could ever make a bad album, this album definitely completed its task.
Missing some CRUCIAL remixes... Jul 10, 2002 THis is an EP of remixed songs by Jermaine Dupri; however it is missing some serious head nodders. It does include the Welcome To Atlanta Coast To Coast remix where Snoop absolutely rips his verse, a classic song. Dru Hill's classic Sleeping In My Bed remix with Da Brat was included and so was Where The Party At remix which are both classic songs. The cd features both Jagged Edge remixed songs Let's Get Married and Promise which are both tight songs. The Let's Talk About It remix with Clipse is also a classic. The Puppy Love remix was just garbage though. The EP does have some major flaws though such as missing songs. Where is the classic but EXTREMELY RARE My All Remix with Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz? That would have been special to include that on here but it's nowhere to be found. What About the JD remix of Big Poppa by the Notorious B.I.G? What about The Jumpin Jumpin remix with Destiny's Child, or the Someone To Call My Lover song by Janet Jackson? The Monica remix of The First Night? Mariah Carey's Honey Remix? JD could have sold MILLIONS with this album but he messed it up. This is just another version of P. Diddy's Remix album and could have EASILY surpassed it by adding more songs to the track list. This album could have EASILY been 15 songs or more and been an EXCEPTIONAL album but instead its just average. It's worth the eight dollars that you spend on it though...just don't put it at the top of your list. 2.5 stars. *This thing is crazy...for some reason it posts it under my old name which I don't even have the password to and haven't used in ages so please disregard that review. The-Truth*
