Loved Win and Kev's Story.... Oct 09, 2009 I wanted so much to get into this Book series, especially after reading the Wallflower series and loving that one so much, But the first book in this series, about Amelia and Cam didnt do it for me. This story though, got me right at the beginning. I loved these two characters. And although it was kinda slow thru the first half, The last half picked up and was well worth finnishing. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series. And I love the story of Cam and Kev's Background. I hope she keeps up with these two and what happens going forward. Especially with their new siblings... ^_^ I would love to hear their stories. And Would also hope to hear in the future about this family and the sons of Kev and Cam.
SEDUCE ME Audio Book (Compact Discs) Review Oct 06, 2009 As with A WALLFLOWER CHRISTMAS and MINE 'TILL MIDNIGHT I read the book as I simultaneously listened to the compact discs. I love Ms. Kleypas' historical romance novels and found no major complaints with this audio book's "slight changes" from the printed novel. Sorry I can't say the same about what I consider to be major changes in the audio disc version of MINE 'TILL MIDNIGHT. The Hathaway's are a wonderful family, and I find myself smiling/laughing through their stories. I'm more than halfway through re-reading TEMPT ME AT TWILIGHT and listening to the audio book - again simultaneously. I love Cam Rohan and look forward to each new book in the series, as well as any and every reference to this character. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend all of Ms. Kleypas' historicals (I haven't read her contemporary novels yet). I look forward to the other "daypart" titles coming next summer about the Hathaway clan, or "tribe" as Cam refers to them.
He's Determined Not to Love Her, but Can He Really Stand to Lose Her to Another? Oct 01, 2009 As a boy, Kev Merripen was taken in by the Hathaway family after he was injured and left for dead by his tribe. Although he's treated as part of the family, Kev knows his gypsy origins are thought to be inferior in their world. He doesn't mind. He works hard, is given responsibilities and is an aid to the family, he doesn't ask for more out of life. The only problem is Winnifred, the sweet gentle Hathaway daughter. She will not leave him be and she secretly loves him. Unfortunately, suffering from the weaknesses of Scarlet Fever, she must leave for a treatment in France for several years. She tries to get him to declare his love for her before she goes, but he refuses, certain that he will remain strong and not think of sullying her with an alliance with someone of his background.
When Win returns, she is accompanied by the doctor of the clinic that helped recover her health. He is determined to court her. Win is not happy to learn that Kev is still determined to keep his regard for her undeclared. If nothing will move him, the doctor may win her hand.
Watching the trials and tribulations of this couple was interesting. They both obviously loved each other, but Kev did have cause to be the reluctant bridegroom. From the day the Hathaways took him in, they were criticized for harboring a thieving gypsy. Marrying Win would certainly affect her social standing. However, his arguments are weakened somewhat by Win's older sister marrying a half-gypsy and seeming to weather the social stigma well enough. Still, Kev's past was far different from Win's new brother-in-law's. How the couple resolves their dilemma made for a lovely read.

So magnificent! Sep 07, 2009 This is one of the most beautifully written book. Merripen has such a deep and beautiful love for Win that it is hard not to get carried away with his abiding love for her. I wept.
I have read and re-read several times!

Good Read!!! Jun 08, 2009 It was a good read. The story was slow to start especially the first part but once Win comes home it moves briskly ahead.Never felt anything for the lead characters. They are just ok.
The secondary charectars are intriguing. Can't wait to read Leo's story. And Cam,I loved him in the book.Mostly the recurring characters in the series get dull esp.once they are married with all the air of suspense/charm gone from them, but Cam seems to have retained it.His scenes with everyone is the best part of the book.
