Excellent Live CD Feb 10, 2008 My title should say it all, it is an excellent CD of live material. I saw the tour and had to get the CD. I have not been dissappointed with any Joe Satriani has done to date. Everything is great!! The only issue I have is with the titles on the first CD itself. The first song is not Flying in a Blue Dream it is Redshift Riders the 3rd song is Flying in a Blue Dream they rearranged the tracks without changing the tracklist. For those of us putting this on our iPods for work or whatever it makes a difference. If you don't believe me go back and listen to them, I just bought it and listened to it all the way through. Still a wonderful representation of the live show! Thanks Satchmo!!

Satriani Rocks Jan 18, 2008 If you are a Satriani fan you will love this compilation of Live tracks. Always good to hear 'Flying' live.

Same songs again! Jan 15, 2008 Sadly, Satch's rich repertoire remains obscure in live releases. The first time you heard "Flying in a Blue Dream", "Summer Song", "Cool # 9", or "Satch Boogie" live you may have been knocked off. But to hear these songs over and over again is not worth the 20 dollars spent to listen a handful of Super Colossal songs performed live. Although Dave LaRue's peculiar style gives this CD an agreeable taste (specially on "Circles"), and Super Colossal's "Made of Tears", "Crowd Chant", "Ten Words", etc., are played rather nicely, many of us Satch fans would rather hear Time Machine or Strange Beautiful Music tracks. And for the love of God, stop mixing Galen Henson's rhythm guitars out!

Another winner Jul 21, 2007 My only gripe of the live records in Satch's catalog is he always includes the "hits" so you tend to get the same batch of songs. That being said, this one is still a winner.
Memorable Jul 16, 2007
I've seen Joe a couple times in the past. I was lucky enough to get to this show in Anaheim. The CD is excellent (although I do agree that with prior reviewers, that from a "song" perspective, they are a bit longer than necessary), but the DVD is better suited for the longer jams. The crowd was great that night, the Grove is a good venue to see shows and if you were lucky to be there (and be up front - smile!) what a treat to have the DVD and the CD as a post card! The more I listen/watch the more appreciation I have for the band. I love Stu Hamm, but LaRue really comes through in Joe's format/songs. Enjoy both the CD and the DVD - you won't regret it!
