Hard to beat ... Nov 21, 2009 This is just a fabulous CD! John Mayer is an extraordinary talent, so musically gifted and one of the best lyricists ever in my opinion; wonderful, profound, with totally fresh and unique imagery. There is truly not a dull or ordinary cut on this CD, everything is hit quality. My personal favorites are Why Georgia and Neon ... and 83 and My Stupid Mouth ... and 3 X 5 and St. Patrick's Day ... you get the picture.
Whether you're a new John Mayer fan or a devotee, this is a must have CD.

What a great CD! Oct 22, 2009 I'm not sure how I missed out on this CD for so long but better late than never. Great catchy but involved tunes, good lyrics, great musicianship and good production values equal a truly outstanding CD. A must buy. Now to get some more JM.
Great Seller Sep 12, 2009 Great seller. CD was in exact condition as described. No problems. Shipment was fast. Would definitely do business with again.

John Mayer "Room for Squares" Mar 30, 2009 I never get tired of listening to this CD over and over! It is amazing. Of all the John Mayer CD's, this one is a favorite!
Thumbs Up For Room For Squares Mar 26, 2009 This debut album is a very solid release. While the material isn't out-of-this world in its artistry or production value, it is definitely a cut above the pop music status quo in these respects. The material really does seem to come from John's heart. John wisely opts to use the lyrics for imagery for much of the album and this serves to add to the dreamy quality of the album as a whole. Despite the release of several albums, I think this one is still his best effort to date.
The SACD version of the album is very nice icing on the cake, so to speak, because the plain CD version already had excellent sound quality. What stands out about the sound quality and production value in both CD & SACD versions is the relatively uncompressed dynamics of the tracks and the reproduction of nuances like John's breathy vocals and the subtle guitar plucking. This is a real refreshing rarity these days when virtually all new pop releases are so heavily compressed and fatiguing that I can't listen for more than five minutes at a time. Unfortunately, great sound quality for mainstream music releases seem to be the exception rather than the rule. Twenty plus years ago, we had dynamic and punchy sounding pop music but now we regressed into the dark ages.
