Didn't do much for me... Dec 08, 2008 Not to begrudge Robinella or her fans, but I honestly don't get the attraction.
I mean, sure -- this album is nice and mellow, relatively diverse, certainly inoffensive and easy to have on in the background, but I just don't she's got much ooompf or originality... Blending roots music with a jazz standards vibe has been done before, and better, by numerous performers... This seems to be of the same caliber as, say, a talented local at open mic night, the nice kind of person you root for, but deep in your heart know will never make it into the bigtime... And that's half their charm. Why this disc is out on a major label and not some funky little indie is beyond me. Still, if you like this, you might also want to try artists such as Jolie Holland or Be Good Tanyas, who have a similar vibe, but a little more grit. (Axton)
Love it! Jan 08, 2008 I put this on my wish list several years ago after I saw them at small concert and am now wondering why it took so long to purchase -- I listen to this CD ALL the time and can't get enough!

Mainstream Country Aug 06, 2007 I heard the first cut of this CD on the radio and thought it sounded interesting (a bit "alternative/folk/bluegrass), however the other songs are a little too mainstream country for my taste.
Very pleasant. A Good Feelin' CD Jun 17, 2007 After hearing about this band on KUT Austin this CD reminded me of how I felt while listening to early Nancy Griffith, Shawn Colvin and Allison Krauss. Although they have very different styles I knew that with their unique voices they would make it as great artists. A good feeling CD
It's The Real Deal! Jan 30, 2007 This swings! Think: Dan Hicks meets Tift Merrit-type vocals. If this one doesn't get your toe a tappin', you better check your pulse, because you may already be dead.
