All I Can Say, Is WOW! Oct 16, 2008 Michael K. must be out of his mind! Brandy is back with one of her best! Rodney Jenkins is also at his best! I love the music, ver vocals... can they possibly do better than this??? Maybe, but for now, this is the best! I already love Brandy, I love almost everything that Rodney does, but when I heard this, I couldn't take it off of repeat. Keep it comming Brandy! I'll buy your CD as soon as it's released, as I always have.
Right Here and waiting for 12/09 Oct 10, 2008 This was the perfect comeback song for brandy to come back with. I was hoping she would team up with Darkchild again and she did. It just seems that they have the perfect chemistry for making hits. This song ties right into her previous troubles with the accident case as well as so many other people on a social level. A hot mid-tempo beat mixed with strong lyrics ....perfect combination.
Get it!

The Return Of Brandy Sep 21, 2008 It has been a few years since Brandy left the public eye. After a agonizing divorce, the fallout of the car accident on the freeway that put her in the tabloid press, and her abrupt firing from judging in 2006 on America's Got Talent, many wondered if Brandy could really ever make a recovery onto the music charts. Her new single, Right Here (Departed), the first single from her upcoming album Human, isn't a bad song, with her voice and soul. However, it doesn't really measure up with her classics like The Boy Is Mine and Baby. Still, it shows that she is trying to make her way back to square one well, but hopefully she can do it and prove she may be right here to stay.
Song: C+
"BRANDY" is Back Sep 18, 2008 Brandy reunites with long time friend and hit making producer, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, on the first single off of her highly anticipated fifth studio album "Human". With a heavy and deeply emotional message, the song is refreshingly upbeat and danceable. Brandy's clear and high vocals on this effort is a switch from the Sade-like coo's or the Mary J. Blige-like rasp and scratchiness from her last album, 2005's "Afrodisiac", and a throwback to what made her debut and sophmore albums ("Brandy" and "Never Say Never") mega sellers. The vocals that made Brandy "BRANDY" are back and hopefully here to stay. Brandy the person, has been through a lot in the past six years. Be it a vengeful ex civil-partner willing to dish the dirt on her, or a failed engagement to an NBA star, being involved in a major highway vehicle pile-up and later cleared of any wrong doing, or a contractor publicly claiming she refuses to pay her landscaping bill, or Kim Kardashian allegedly stealing from her mother. It's great to see "BRANDY" back with a winning formula. With a new record label (Epic), a second chance to build on her already mega-successful career, and a single that is a hit at radio with enthusiasm surrounding future projects. Not only should Brandy be very happy but Pop and Urban-Pop listeners should be very pleased also.
