RCM- A Very Beautiful Album Mar 31, 2009 I enjoy listening to all the songs. A different Duran Duran style of music which suits in todays music industry. I just have to say one thing, Duran Duran is the greatest whatever music they create, THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

Very good album Dec 18, 2008 Yes, this is a very good album, not an excellent one but it's one you can listen to several times, each time it gets better. Although not my favorite album I like it.

Underrated DD Album that grows on you Dec 16, 2008 When I first heard the single "Falling Down" I was expecting a straight forward Duran album, full of melody and easy classic tracks. For me their last album, "Astronaut" was a major dissapointment, and not the classic to equal the hype of the original 5 line-up. This album however appeals to me more and grows on you from each listen.
When Andy Taylor left the band, I was delighted, his style no longer suited the style the band needed, and Live he just didn't fit in making a mess of none Andy Taylor tracks i.e. "Ordinary World" and "Notorious" he has one stlye of playing and that's it. Red Carpet Massacre has some surprise moments on there like the "Night-Runner" track with Timberlands trademark all over it. I loved Pop Trash, and find this album in the same vein, a very underrated well produced Duran album, definately worth more than one listen.

Red Carpet quality Jun 06, 2008 I waited a few months to review this album because I like to know if the album has a good 'stay' factor for me. In fact, I love this album even more over time. It's a fun mix of layered DD sound and dance grooves, along with several soulful songs reminiscent of Ordinary World and Come Undone. The first 3 tracks, The Valley, Red Carpet Massacre and Nite Runner all start the dance feel but then Falling Down brings a reality check showing why DD is so versatile and talented. Simon LeBon's lyrics are at times fun and at others more relatable. I can't count how many times I feel like dancing my way through traffic while listening to this in my car. Tempted and Skin Divers bring you back into that "I just have to move and sing along" feeling. If you ever get a chance to see this album performed live, you'll love it even more. Enjoy RCM !!!
