Excellent Balance of all genres of music Aug 05, 2008 I think this CD is hot and I am surprised most of the cuts are not getting airplay rotation. I really enjoyed the different contemporary genres of music.
Nice bunch of tracks Jul 21, 2008 I was encouraged to buy this by my daughter, who saw Paula Abdul's song and video on American Idol; she just wanted that track for her MP3 player, but I was quite happy to buy it for myself when I saw the amazing line up on the album. Joss Stone! Lucy Woodward! And yes, Paul Abdul, on whom I've had a crush for over 20 years. I'm also a fan of May McPhee, and was pleasantly surpriused by her duet with Eliot Yamin (of whom I was not a big fan during his tim on Idol). The other tracks, by artists I've never heard of before, are also nice additions, and all in all I like the entire album. This is touted as Volume 1 - I'm intrigued to see what Jackson comes up with next.

Great Compilation May 14, 2008 American Idol judge Randy Jackson has released a compilation CD titled gRandy Jackson Music Club Vol. 1.h The 13 song compilation features great new music from some of the most talented artists in the industry. The CD opens up with a great brand new song from pop star Paula Abdul. gDance Like Itfs No Tomorrowh is one of the first new songs from Paula Abdul in years. Itfs a great uptempo dance song and Paula Abdul fans will be pleased to hear new music from the American Idol judge. The song is followed by the hot song gWalk on By,h by soulful singer Joss Stone. Bon Jovi member Richie Sambora is featured on the compilation with a solo song titled gWilling to Try.h The majority of the other artists featured on the set are new artists. Kelli Love, Barbie Esco, and Sam Moore are among the other artists featured on the set. Former American Idol winner Katherine McPhee is featured on the set with the song gReal Love.h Rounding out the artists featured on the CD are Van Hunt, Kim Burrell, Trisha Covington, and Crunk Squad. gRandy Jackson Music Club Vol. 1 is in stores now.
Interesting Mix Apr 09, 2008 By far the song that Paula Abdul sings, Dance Like There's No Tomorrow, is the best song on there in my opinion. The rest of the songs were a new and refreshing change to what I normally here. The Joss Stone song has become a fast favorite too. I like mix CDs like this because if offers variety and also a chance to explore what else each artist has accomplished.
