So Good Feb 28, 2008 I was looking for some relaxing instrumental music so I bought this CD. I don't know where I have been but it is the first I have heard of Jim Brickman. This is some truly wonderful music. Sometimes I like to just plug in my headphones with my mp3 and listen to it late at night. It is soothing. It is one of my favorites. I am now a huge Jim Brickman fan. Very spiritual.
Brickman is hard to beat... Jan 15, 2008 I can listen to Jim Brickman's music all day long and not grow tired of it. This album is no exception...relax & enjoy!

Excellent Compilation for the Novice Fan Dec 29, 2006 Over the past decade, pianist Jim Brickman has released a dozen albums for the Windham Hill label. As part of the their 30th anniversary, Windham Hill has packaged a series of PURE releases featuring the label's best known artists. The 18 tracks included here come from six of his albums, including a remake of "Glory" (performed here as a duet with David Benoit from 2002's SONGS WITHOUT WORDS II) and one previously unreleased track, the gorgeous "We Exalt Thee."
I only have two complaints. One, there is nothing from his stunning debut, NO WORDS (1994). And secondly, while they are excellent songs, the two vocals ("Amazing Grace" and "By Heart") seem out of place on an otherwise all-instrumental collection.
If you're new to the new age stylings of this gifted pianist, PURE is an excellent place to start. The perfect balm at the end of a stressful day. [Running Time - 59:57] RECOMMENDED

Brickman at his best Jun 16, 2006 I do enjoy this CD as it has many of Jim's signature instrumentals. As the solo pieces are what drew me to Jim's music over a decade ago, the timeless "If You Believe" and " Angel Eyes" will strike a chord with longtime Brickman fans. His first song with words, "By Heart" makes it is way down memory lane here as well.
There is a new version of Jim's "Glory" on this compliation of Jim's albums.
I use this CD to mellow out. Life is too complex at times so it is refreshing to find a way to simplify it. Easy enough to do with this CD.
