another masterpiece Aug 29, 2010 powerslave kicks ass from start to finish. i love the egyptian themes. aces high and two minutes to midnight start off this monster of an album. losfer words (big orra)obviously a play on words is an amazing intrumental. the band just jams out. later in the album is the epic title track. heavy as hell most of the way. it slows down mid way thru and picks back up with a phenominal solo one of their best. finally, is mariner. the longest maiden song ever at over 13 minutes. total rollercoaster ride. late in this one, harris kicks things back into gear w another one his creative bass lines that leads into an awesome climax. powerslave is simply amazing beginning to end.
One of the Best Metal albums ever Aug 13, 2010 Not much to add. This is one of the best metal albums ever made. I can't really rank it in terms of their other six great studio albums and Live After Death because they are all so awesome. Obviously, it is better than anything that they produced after Seventh Son and it is better than all other metal albums except for QR Operation Mindcrime. That is really all you need to know. Go buy it!

5 Pyramids Aug 07, 2010 POWERSLAVE.........what can I say, other than it's the best heavy metal album of the 80's-hands down. Get it. Listen to it. Love it. Rime of the Ancient Mariner will blow you away. Bruce is one BMF on this album....this is what heavy metal is all about...... Heavy, powerful, artistic, attitude....it's all here.....enter the world of POWERSLAVE........NOW!!!!!!!!
a great starter album Jul 23, 2010 this was my first maiden album and i loved it when i first became a fan and i still love it but i dont listen to it as much as i used to this is a great starter album(i think this was way better than piece of mind)highly recommend it
aces high this is a great rockin track that made me jump around head banged and played air guitar the first time i heard it it is a fantastic way to kick off the album and it was the first song i have learned how to play on a guitar 9/10
2 minutes to midnight this is an overrated song in my opinion but its still a good tune to listen to the guitar intro makes a great ringtone
7/10
losfer words is a pretty boring track to listen to i skip this one most of the time i think Transylvania is iron maidens best instrumental piece 6/10
flash of the blade is one of my favorites on this album i didnt like it at first time i heard it but it grew on me
9/10
the duelist witch is good but it drags on a bit
7/10
back in the village this song is garbage i always skip it
4/10
powerslave this is one of my personal favorite iron maiden epics its has fantastic guitar and bruces voice is amazing on this song defiantly the best song on the album(probably one of IM'S best songs)
11/10
rime of the ancient mariner this is maidens longest song to date and and its a great one but halfway through the song it gose into this soft shadowy section that you can barely hear unless you have head phones on and most of the time i forget that the cd is still running but then it gets out of the section and starts kicking ass again this is an epic tale that gets a 10/10
Iron Maiden just gets better! Jul 17, 2010 After purchasing Number of the Beast and really liking it, it was a no brainer that I had to get another album of theirs. With most of the research being done on this website I decided on Powerslave. Wow! I couldn't believe that they could keep up the good infectious beats, but they did. This c.d. has very intriquet song writing, the music it tight in a great way, and Rime of the Ancient Mariner is an epic song lasting over 13 minutes. Powerslave track #7 has a very catchy hook, and the rest of the c.d. is chocked full of excellent guitar work. Although there are only 8 songs the playing time of this album is just shy of the 50 minute mark, so theres plenty to listen to. Another quality effort from a great band. This is a must buy for any Iron Maiden fan.
