The perfect album for the perfect come back Jan 28, 2009 Well personally this is one of the best Mylène's albums the lyrics are so beautiful as ussual but this album is different.
when you listen to the first track Dégénération you get impressed and i like specially this song, but other special one is Paradis Inanimé this song is extremly beautiful and shows you the beauty of french music, it reminds me too the Anamorphosée era because of the guitars and
si j'avais au moins this track makes me cry, the lyrics are so poetical and the guitar solo at the end of this song is magnific
so that's why i rate it as a five stars disc i really recomned this album

Nice! Jan 28, 2009 This Cd from Mylene Framer is a nice change from the more traditional French chanson to a more "pop version", and it is very well done.

...It's all going downhill ! (from a disappointed admirer) Dec 11, 2008 It is great to see all the support for Mylène's latest album. I have been a fan of Boutonnat/Farmer since they started and absolutely love most of what they do.
Unfortunately, I struggled to appreciate Avant que l'ombre where Mylène high pitch singing is weak and hollow and was accompanied by quite uninspired music. Shame as I want to like everything they do.
And, in my opinion, things are getting worse and I can no longer connect to the latest "Mylène" outputs like Point de Suture titles. They feature repetitive Euro beats, simplistic melodies, monotonous rythms and music. "Appelle mon numéro" seems to be aimed at young teenagers and is mightily irritating (like 90% of the material on this album).
If targetting teenagers is the new way, then it is spot on and you may like this album but I feel the departure from what made her great too big for me to follow. Where are the haunting scores, catchy tunes without being trash, moody lyrics and atmosphere?
One could draw a parallel with Madonna and her genre twisting "Confessions on a Dance Floor", and if this Mylène's attempt, then I think it fails.
Call me old school but you can't call this Mylène Farmer (...Alizée?)
Love to dance to this CD Dec 02, 2008 This is a very good CD. I have heard other music by Mylène Farmer and like them all, but this one has a kind of beat I cannot resist.
I was first attracted to the song Dégéneration, which prompted me to buy the album. When I got the CD I immediately found myself drawn to the the songs Je M'Ennuie and Appelle Mon Numéro. I wish people in my area had a taste in foreign music. It really gets the body moving =P
Best Pop album in this year Oct 26, 2008 When i listened the album, i feel Mylene comes back to early years. This album have old elements but new also (in one track she sing the chorus with Moby in english) but this one is more balanced and less dark, more melodic and new sounds. I enjoy all the album, There's no fillers. Maybe it is not the best album of Mylene, but in this year is the best pop album in the world (in french..and english). Madonna is the Queen...of MTV, and Mylene is the Queen..of the real world. Sorry Alizee, you are so far away of the Teacher.
