unique voices Jan 14, 2007 i think tht this cd is very good, their first single us against the world is a very good song and it shows off their singing abilities. anna and rosie have very sweet honey sounding voices like really young girls but some of these songs sound like some s club juniors songs. they all have great voices and they range from really low powerful voices to rosie and anna's which are less powerful but much higher :)

A Great Start May 14, 2006 Play's self titled debut was suprisingly very good, espescially for their age level. The Sweedish quartet was between the ages of 12 and 14 at the time of the release. Kudos to Play!!! Now, the whole song by song deal:
1) I'm Gonna Make You Love Me---8/10
Love the melody, the harmonies, would have been a 10/10 if it didn't have Chris Trousdale, seeing as he's part of Dream Street, a really cheesy boy band.
2) Us Against The World---9/10
Great to dance to, pretty melody and harmony, great message.
3) Cinderella---10/10
This song was later remade by The Cheetah Girls, but Play's version was so much better! With a killer melody and a ton of talent (as well as a great dancing beat), this is 1 of my favorite songs on the CD.
4) Hopelessy Devoted---8/10
A remake, it was very pretty, but it could have been better.
5) Is It Love---10/10
I LOVE this song. It's great to sing to, espescially if you are a beginner with little or no vocal training. Alothough I've had vocal training, I STILL love to sing this song because the melody is so pretty.
6) I Don't Get Down Like That---10/10
Great melody, killer harmonies, the best song to dance to on the CD.
7) Disco Hippie---3/10
The only song I didn't like. It's cheesy and weird. They still sound good though, that's the only reason they got a 3.
Overall (except for the whole Hippie thing), this is a great start for Play!!!

WHEN PLAYIN' THEY SCORED A 3 TOGETHER Apr 29, 2006 The debut album from multi-platinum recording pop group PLAY (from Sweden in Europe) wasn't half bad. When I got the cd in 2003, I was thirteen. Now that it's 2006, I'm 16. When I got it then, I was really into "teeny bopper" music. I didn't really know that much about the quality of it. The girls of play were 13 and 14 when the cd was released. Anna, Anais, Rosie, and Faye are definetly talented. Anyone who listens to the songs can tell you that they sound much older. All of their vocals are on key. They are managed by Mathew Knowles for Music World Music Entertainment. He is mainly know of as the father of Destiny's Child's Beyonce. I still enjoy the cd, since Play is one of my favorite girl groups out now along with Destiny's Child, etc. I would still stay it's worth the money after about 4 years. Some of the songs were silly, which is why I would give it a 3 from the heart. The best songs on the album were: Is It Love, Hopelessly Devoted To You, and I'm Gonna Make You Love Me. My ratings are below:
1. I'm Gonna Make You Love Me: 5/10
2. Us Against The World: 6/10
3. Cinderella: 7/10
4. Hopelessly Devoted To You: 8/10
5: Is It Love: 10/10
6. I Don't Get Down Like That: 6/10
7. Disco Hippie: 4/10
Most of my ratings for each song were average ratings. I really don't think it was the best debut album ever, but to be so young and do such a good vocal performance on the majority of tracks - that deserves recognition. It was just average to me, but it isn't terrible.

I LOVED AND LOVE IT Jan 20, 2006 Well I loved this cd. I mean even thought it was released like 3-4 years ago or something like that. But now I will leave points. This album is a great album for kids I can understand it is for them. It has very nice tuned songs. Unlike The Gemz, Jump5, and other girlish singing group bands, this Group do singing and their ways are the best! So I say buy this album. Its a very upbeat for you to dance to, and its great to listen to.
Im not gonna rate the songs because THIS WHOLE ALBUM ROCKED as I grew up!!! ROCK ON PLAY!!!
