great gift Aug 30, 2009 Bought this for my fiance after his copy was lost, he couldn't find it anywhere and I gave it to him as a gift. He loved it.
A Rock Album That Could Only Lead To Greatness... Jan 20, 2009 ....Had the band stayed together that is. With this album we get a, very honest down to the roots, rock anthem. Which only is crested with the jewel of being fairly local to me (seattle).
That aside, I love the sound they capture on this and the previous(check out black lines....). It's such an honest song writing style with such a harmonic and no frills attached singing approach you can't help but think, why would you break up.
Track number one is still one of my favorite, which is followed by number five(It received quite a bit of radio time). I love the whole album though, not a single dud in there. Permanent is an awesome up beat and quicker paced track of theirs. It just has so much groove, feeling and heart.
Nothing short of amazing is all I can say. The group truly had just reached their stride when they quit and we can only hope at some point another album will be made. This is truly a great swan song for a great band, and you owe it to yourself to at least preview the tracks.
If you don't it's a true "what could have been..." feeling and if you appreciate the beauty of the album you would have regretted never testing it. I encourage anyone to dislike it, it's so accessible yet so personal it's a true gem in a stale genre.
You can't not like this CD! Jul 21, 2008 I love this CD as does everyone else I know, and I don't even listen to this kind of music! I suppose this could be put in the Emo category of music but I think it's more similar to Switchfoot, only way better. They are a Christian band but don't let that scare you off. This band rocks! It's a real shame they broke up...
Two Stars for Two Good Songs Apr 27, 2008 Don't buy this, buy 'Black Lines to Battlefields'
I only liked two songs on this album and they were "Take Cover" which is an awesome 'Feel Good' song and 'Over You' which is cool to stomp your foot to. Download them on Itunes instead of buying the CD.
Can you say love at first sound??? Aug 29, 2007 For a lack of a better term I "Accepted" this cd/band with open arms. (You can laugh later). These guys are really good and So Contagious is...well, so contagious. It's too bad the band broke up because I would love to hear more from them. Check them out.
