"Works" is a loose term Sep 20, 2008 This product only works depending your definition of "works". I purchased it soley to play Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revelution on the PS3, without having to ru-purchase everything of course. The guitars sort-of worked. The strum bar was backwards (down was up and up was down, but this is only really a problem on the menu screens) and the whammy bar doesn't work at all, which it a let down. Also, the converter does allow the mats for DDR to play on the PS3, but the force you have to press the pad to register is ridiculous. I did try the pads on a PS2 I had in the other room, not in the main entertainment area, and they worked fine, so it wasn't the pads. What is really annoying about this product is the shipping cost. Two of them fit inside a regular shipment envelope, you can't convince me it takes over $14 in shipping costs for that. Again, the product is better than nothing I suppose, but it does make me want to bite the bullet and find another input to hook up the PS2 right next to the PS3.
Dragon Plus Convertor Sep 05, 2008 I cannot claim that this converter works for dance pads etc, since I only bought it to have access to my old Namco PS1 stick and a digital Hori controller so I could use them to play fighting games like Street Fighter 3, Soul Calibur 4 and so on. The Dragon Plus converter does a good job in this respect. No discernible input lag means I have no complaints.
EXCELLENT!!!!! Jun 09, 2008 If you have a PS3 and you probably do if you're reading this review GET THIS ITEM NOW!!!!! This is a great converter especially if you want to play fighting games on your PS3 both 2D and 3D Street fighter Alpha Anthology no problem, Tekken 5 DRO no problem if I have one complaint it is that the converter has no home button but all in all a great item

guinea pig May 10, 2008 Well I bought this knowing I would be a guinea pig and here it goes. First off it isn't the same product. The one I got is some cheap blue plastic one that allows for 2 PS controller's, which at first I thought was cool. But then on to the disapointment. It works. . . Sometimes. . . Sometimes it likes to let you use the arrow keys. . . Sometimes it says nah not today. *FAIL* On to try another one. I am trying to use this to play DDR. I have Red Octane dance pads and really don't want to spend another $100-$200 on buying new ones that are PS3 specific. Some people's have worked great but this wasn't the product in the picture and it doesn't work for me. Good luck to all you that try this. I REALLY hope it works. . . Especially for the price. . . was $4 now under $2. . . . In closing lets just say it works as long as you don't press 2 buttons at the same time. . . Like you can press Up and Left at the same time but not Left and Right. . . I think there is some improving to be done.

Doesn't work with Wireless Guitars Apr 25, 2008 I bought two of these so that I could play Guitar Hero 1, 2, and the 80's on the PS3, but alas, neither of them worked. For a split second, one worked and then it was gone.
It's possible there's something that can be done and I haven't totally given up yet as I really NEED this to work, but I doubt it. If I do find something, I will update this review.
